SU25T in DCS World

Recommended Posts

I bought FC2 that includes SU25T, so when i read that SU25T will fly in DCS World i was happy, but like spiderman, something in my head gave me an advice.

You wont be able to fly SU25T if you don´t buy P51

Good maneuver to sell P51, because if not, P51 only will sell just a bit...

Waiting for next DCS to aboard, while don´t come, welcome BMS

Greetings

That statement is patently false.

Suit yourself.

You have always been able to download the DCS software prior to purchasing a key. Nothing new here. Same goes for DCS World. The Su25T is already unlocked. Unlocking the P51 is an option.

Why would they say Su25T is free if you have to spend 40$ for it?

Wrong.

If you have FC1 or FC2, you are able to fly SU-25T.

What exactly are you complaining about? Nothing has been removed from you.

Actually I can see how he might think this - If the P-51 module is installed but not bought it will ask for the P-51 key on every start of DCS - simply click cancel and proceed to the sim or reinstall without the P-51 module.

The Su-25T is completely free and does not require a key.

Well, DCS World != FC3, so... :)

I think that's the missing piece of the puzzle. But no-one has lost their ability to run FC1 or FC2.

So if I have DCS A-10C I can fly it in MP ? Good one :D

Not yet, unfortunately, but once the A-10 is integrated into the Core concept.

No SP only - MP is available after one other module is purchased.

Nate

Thanks for your quick answer. Also, I take it as if you had BS1, or at least FC2, from which Su-25T came, you still won't be able to get it for free in MP, right? I mean, you saying that in this case "module" = either BS2/A-10C/P51/FC3/Combined Arms?

Deculture!

I´ll try to explain better:

I bought FC1 and FC2, will i be able to fly SU25T in DCS World in multiplayer?

Greetings

No - Singleplayer only without one of BS2/A-10/P-51 installed and activated in DCS:-World (Currently only P-51 is available for DCS:-World).

Why can't the SU25 be available from our ED net account online? Instead of having DSC P51 installed in DCS world. I know we have to wait for A10 and Blackshark2, but what would have to be done in order for it to be account based, not installed based. Like Rise of flight. Were all the aircraft are there, but you can only fly the ones you own.

What I thought was going to happen with dcs, One program everyone has installed that was the same. Everyone would have DCSA10, Blackshark2, FC3, combined arms, and p51 installed. But as a user, you could only use the parts you paid for.

The current setup looks more like FSX. One core that you install mods into. Is this the core system ED is going for?

Yes it is the core system they are using - and it is still in Beta so things may change yet. BTW the Su-25T is available to all in singleplayer - no need to wait for BS2 and A-10 or buy P-51. Multiplayer however will require another module.

This way, system is more open for 3rd party devs, I assume. You just can't

include all the work everyone has done (count there in various beta stages some devs agree to release), and it would be impossible to track bugs etc.

Until I read this post, I had no idea how DCS world was free. As a suggestion, I think the DCS World post by Wags should clarify this and perhaps mention the steps to get DCS world downloaded and running, and the fact that you download DCS World / P51, get DCS world for free and have to pay for P-51.

Myself, I paid for the beta anyway, but the fact that there is a FREE ED sim right now with a 25T in it should be shouted from the roof tops :)

I agree but I have to wait for ED to issue a Press release.

I'm with Crunch. I spent half an hour looking for the "DCS World" download before I figured out it was packaged with the P-51.

Is it possible to remove the P-51 from DCS World once it's installed, waste of disk space if you have no interest in P-51?

Loving the T-Toad though, my favorite FC2 plane.
