  1. Have you tried to disable VSYNC in DCS, and on nvidia control panel, put vsync to 'fast'? This gives me the best performance without screen tearing.
  2. I'm on a 4K monitor and my sharpening stays at 0.3...
  3. if you remove the JHMCS, the helmet reverts to the standard dark visor... before the update the JHMCS visor was always present (I believe)
  4. Thanks ED for the new hgu-68/p hornet helmet... this was the biggest update for me! Bye bye hideous jhmcs helmet.
  5. Have you tried this mod? https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3329503/ It alters values of shadow cascade(s) for better performance (LOL).
  6. Does anyone knows the type/model of the pilot's watch?
  7. Hey here's the link to a beta update compatible with DCS 2.9: https://github.com/luizrenault/a-29b-community/releases/tag/0.6.0b
  8. Do you know what changed for the F-14? There's an increase in pages from ~550 to 572.
  9. I would use DMT TV mode to find the target, and drop a pair of mk-82 in auto mode (CCRP) while on a shallow dive (10~15 degrees). This is pretty precise bombing mode, and it was used in real life, since dive attacks while on CCRP was a popular tactic on the gulf war.
  10. Try to activate the mods on this order: Caucasus redone -> Better trees -> Caucasus redone snowless winter
  11. I think that in real life, ground crew might be responsible for removing the safety pin... so there's not a switch for the pilot, like in many other modules.
  12. The mirage is awesome right now... follow Shia LaBeouf advice and JUST DO IT!
  13. I'll leave another tip, I had a X52 pro and AAR was hard as hell, impossible. Then the X52 finally gave up after long 9 years of AAR-epic-fails and I bought a T16000M HOTAS. This joystick, although cheap, is waaaaaay more precise than the X52. Suddenly AAR became achievable. I can do it on Hornet, Harrier and Mirage. So your joystick/throttle may have a big impact on your AAR...
  14. I'm going through the M2K georgian campaign right now. I'm enjoying a lot. I'm ok with the "reading a novel" style of the missions. Anyway, looks like this campaign has a good feedback, I'll check it out after I finish BD campaign. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3314265/
  15. Just a heads up, I posted this issue on the Razbam discord and they helped me to configure a curve and saturation on the ministick X and Y axis and now it's working well.
  16. I recently bought a T.16000M HOTAS (joystick and throttle) and I'm having a hard time slewing IR mavs. To start, I mapped TDC axis to the analog ministick at the throttle. This ministick is pressable, so I mapped TDC-action to it. I know the procedure, wait 'til mavs are ready -> uncage -> SSS-fwd to enter IRMV mode The issue starts when I enter IRMV mode, it`s very difficult to slew the missile, it seems to respond to the ministick commands when I use diagonal commands. Have you seem something similar?
  17. Sir, I completed your campaign and enjoyed it thoroughly. Great mission design, fast paced and well balanced in difficulty. Loved that you focused on old school weapons instead of lobbing JDAMS from 30k ft. Congratulations!
  18. did you buy the apache twice just to try to solve your controller problems?
  19. On the mission 2 it happened to me, the CAS flight did almost everything. But on missions 3 and 4 it's a lot more difficult...
  20. Try to dispatch SEAD and CAP flights before you take off... and beware the SAM's.
  21. This mission was pretty cool, I'm glad you guys are fixing that.
  22. I tried the gun while in CPG seat using TADS as sight, set automatic ranging and than I use the laser range finder to update target distance.. with constant lasing you can achieve good results.
  23. first you have to set your sight to tads, otherwise the SYM rocker won't work...
  24. Ok, that's really interesting, because if I'm flying into combat and I may have to WAS' rockets at any time and start PEW PEW, isn't it more helpful if I'm already at nose to tail trim? I'm still inclined to screw with that slip ball...
  25. I'll take advantage of this post to question: should be strive for aero trim? Is it more effective? Or is it just a matter of preference and there is no problem in trying to achieve nose to tail trim (damn that decentralized ball)????????
