This is the P-51D.lods file, modified to use the 100ft distance version of the p-51d even when closer.

It still looks extremely detailed and there is no noticeable detriment. Also the wheels are not orange.

To Install is simple BACKUP YOUR ORIGNAL

and drop this into DCS World > Bazar > World > Shapes

Edit: Not the most flattering light but here's a preview

Sorry for writing that but you fix or mod is not a fix.

You just ignored or unassigned the most detailed 3D file (P-51D.edm).

Now viewing of 3D model starts with the SECOND best/detailed (lod1) model.

This lod1 is NOT a real solution.

Missing wheel texture is solution. Thanks DGambo

Ok, so I am a nub when it comes to .rar files that are not self extracting. What do I do with the two wheel .bmp files? Help please...

Go to this folder: DCS World > Bazar > World > Textures

Find P-51D.zip. Open it up and add the files and zip it back up. The exact steps will depend on the zip tool. If you have WinZip installed then you should be able to just drag the wheel files onto the P-51D.zip and WinZip will take you through it.

You shouldn't have to unzip and re-zip. Just double-click on it to open and navigate inside the zip and paste them in, it should let you.

You shouldn't have to do anything: just copy the two wheel .bmp files into Bazar/TempTextures folder.

That's all. :D
