Now that I have everything neatly together in DCS world, there is one glaring asymmetry: whereas the P51 and A10 have interactive training modules, the most difficult craft to fly, the Ka50 doesn't. I don't find the presently supplied non-interactive training videos for the Ka50 useful. Therefore, ED, please put together an interactive training session for the Ka50.

Fixing those old training missions so they are compatible with BS2 is probably not the highest priority right now.

That said I don't think those missions get you 100% competent anyway. You'll always need to refer to YouTube, the forums and the manual.

Its not official, but BigFootMSR did an excellent job creating tutorials for the Ka-50. They cover most of the topics that the original tutorials covered.

I've heard a lot of positive feedback about BigfootMSR's mission, but I haven't tried it myself.

However, I agree with the OP that (official) interactive training missions for Black Shark would be a huge help. When I started learning the Shark, it was still 1.0.1c and the in-game training still worked. That training wasn't perfect, but it was very helpful. A truly interactive training like in the A-10 would be even better.

I can only imagine how much time and effort it would take to create such training missions, so I suppose it's a rather low priority (that is if ED even consider it), but for the new pilots that keep showing up, it would be great.

Like always when it comes to learning the Shark, I'd like to promote the

video (link goes to YouTube, but it's also available for download on the ED website). For me, that one hour video was the biggest help of all to learn the aircraft and its systems.

This guy from Leading Edge in the video needs to be hired to remake the A10C weapons training video. The training instructor that comes with A10C weapons training talks so damn fast you can't understand anything and is just about useless to learn from.

Does this Leading Edge guy have A10C instruction videos for the A10C - specifically weapons training?

Given the complexity of the A-10C's systems I think the instructor does a pretty good job. But I agree that speaking slower would be helpful. I paused pretty regularly to re-read the subtitles until I was comfortable that I had taken in the information.

Regarding Miguez, he pretty much disappeared from the community years ago. Someone mentioned that real life kicked in. He had had plans to do a full training series for Black Shark but never got past the first introductory lesson. I think his training would have had the potential to become the ultimate training source, it's too bad he didn't find the time to continue.

The missions I made are in cockpit interactive training missions for anybody who is wanting something similar to the training in a-10. As far as time goes, I can attest that it can take weeks of time to put together a single training mission. While an official training mission would be nice, I would rather see them spend money and time elsewhere at this point. They can always come back to it at a later date to really polish up the module.

They should incorperate your interactive training missions in the official release.

Just like mig21 will be part of the DCS world and will be sold in ED's E-shop.

I'm in the same boat as Bigfoot - I own the upgrade version so I can't test.

But this is how the file structure looks for the P-51D training.

p51dtraining.jpg

So if it is the same structure for the KA-50 , the complete Training package that can be found here: http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/173790/

Has to be copied into

...\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Ka-50\Missions\traning\en\

...to make them selectable via the ingame-Training tab.
