Pyroflash Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Any comment on this? the video doesn't really go into much depth about it. Neither do any of the reviews. If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.
Cali Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 I have it installed, only played it a few times. Hard to land, but is fun. i7-4820k @ 3.7, Windows 7 64-bit, 16GB 1866mhz EVGA GTX 970 2GB, 256GB SSD, 500GB WD, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFD's, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, G15 keyboard, 55" 4K LED

Succellus Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Installed, fun, a bit short lived. Who cares about autorization anyway its the same for all. When i have a short time and can t fly on pc its fun. But short lived only 6 missions in the campaign. Landing the carrier is always challenging. Boycott such trash if you don't really need it and since it became a standard the only wise thing to do in the nearest future would be to boycott Android. ALDEGA Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 read phone state and identity Allows the app to access the phone features of the device. An app with this permission can determine the phone number and serial number of this phone, whether a call is active, the number that call is connected to and the like.I wonder why that app need this permission ... Combined with full internet connectivity ...

Succellus Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 I wonder why that app need this permission ... Combined with full internet connectivity ... Merely to allow download and automatic upgrades...or do you get another mean of install ? ALDEGA Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Merely to allow download and automatic upgrades...or do you get another mean of install ?Installation of apps and updates is handled by Android, the app itself doesn't need internet access permission for that purpose. Internet access isn't a problem as long as the app doesn't have access to "the phone number and serial number of this phone, whether a call is active, the number that call is connected to and the like."
july865 Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 you should be more worried on the intrusion you granted to your cell phone carrier than anything else. Asus x99, i7 5930k, 32g mem, MSI 1070GTX, 970 Samsung M.2, LG 35in Ultra-Wide, TrackIR 4 Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
ALDEGA Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 What cell phone carrier intrusion? I'd be more worried about intrusion by the government.
july865 Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 What cell phone carrier intrusion? really? I'd be more worried about intrusion by the government. we could leave politics out of the discussion. . ever read the policies and agreements when you sign-up or renew a cell contract? i dont recall seeing anything like that when accepting an app's agreement. although i do admit they too are a bit un-nerving.
