Pilotasso Posted June 22, 2012 Author Posted June 22, 2012 That helmet belongs to the Sith of football. Sometimes he acts as the 12th player for any team of convenience but he only really plays for one. He may not be there present on the pitch but he can still move the ball with his mind, make players fly in the box and play Jedi mind tricks with the referees. :D His name cannot be pronouced but first 2 leters are: Pl.... Spain VS France Not an obvious outcome! ;) Lookign forward for that one. .
PeterP Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 (edited) exactly ! I didn't wanted to mention this - but now you started to tell about the "Unpronounceable".... Not only that his name can't be pronounced - as soon someone will find out his real name and also speaks it out loud and clearly... - this desperate soul becomes his successor!! So better let's be silent. So: (and that's for sure -until someone proofs me wrong...) Germany will win this tournament with a little help of the dark side... Edited June 22, 2012 by PeterP
Jona33 Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 I'm guessing Spain 2:1 France. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
Pilotasso Posted June 23, 2012 Author Posted June 23, 2012 Spain Dominating the match, a deserved advantage. The French are going to feel the pressure later on and then... .
Jona33 Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Extra time penalty, final result Spain 2:0 France. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
Pilotasso Posted June 23, 2012 Author Posted June 23, 2012 Fair result, The Sith must have been asleep tonight. :D .
Pilotasso Posted June 24, 2012 Author Posted June 24, 2012 (edited) England VS Italy = Dejá Vu It was an ugly way to decide but I think the shootout favoured the truth of the game. I can Already see the tabloids full of pestilence all over the headlines. Edited June 24, 2012 by Pilotasso .
Pikey Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Aw great. Namenlos Ein Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Yet another new word in English. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/jun/24/england-italy-euro-2012-live?newsfeed=true 48 min: What a miss from Daniele De Rossi! How on earth are Italy not ahead? A corner from the left was punched away by Hart but optimistically headed back into the area by an Italian player. It should have been dealt with without any fuss whatsoever, but the England defence was dozing and it dropped to De Rossi, who turned and Kerzhakoved a volley wide from six yards out! That might even have come off his shin. What an escape. Earth to England! The gates in Kerzhakov's eyes.
Jona33 Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Even as a brit I've gotta say Italy were the better side. That shot in the 25 min of extra time (think it was diamante) only to be offside was incredible. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
sobek Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 It was clearly offside, no debate there. However, i think the Italians deserved the win. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
Pilotasso Posted June 25, 2012 Author Posted June 25, 2012 Germany has fresh players, Itally does not and they have less time between games. On top of that they have been somewhat under their potential so far. I think germany will reach the Final without major surprises. Portugal depends on Cristiano and wastes too many chances before scoring, Spain could almost play with 2 seperate teams at the same time. Seems predictable, the outcome, or is it? ;) .
Pilotasso Posted June 25, 2012 Author Posted June 25, 2012 So, Pikey how was your day at the office? :) .
PeterP Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 If he was "smart" ...- he was wearing a German jersey the next day... :D Aw great. I'm English and I have to go to work in an office full of Scots tomorrow :( As if Mondays could get any worse!
joey45 Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Indeed. Come on Germany. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Yurgon Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 (edited) Germany has fresh players, Itally does not and they have less time between games. On top of that they have been somewhat under their potential so far. I think germany will reach the Final without major surprises. Let's not underestimate tradition. England never won a penalty shootout in any major tournament. And Germany never won against Italy in any major tournament. Then again, just like the last few years, I think this time Germany definitely has the players to win the tournament (or at least get rid of that curse when it comes to playing vs. Italy). :-) Edited June 26, 2012 by Yurgon Typo
Pikey Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 (edited) So, it didnt get much of a hard time on Monday really, I sat down and had a conversation with an ex semi pro footballer (Scottish) and when I remarked about losing he just said, "Ah well we are used to losing, we never expect to win" Which leads me to the really obvious question...."So why do England"? :) :music_whistling: When you give the ball to Italy and sit back 10 yards you can't really complain about losing! See when Andrea Pirlo just chipped the ball in I thought, there's a real cool cucumber we need one of those....someone that can handle pressure and laugh. Did England just look dog tired or was it me? Pilotasso Posted June 26, 2012 Author Posted June 26, 2012 At this time of the chanpionship, fatigue makes strategy Im afraid, and it may not matter if the player can endure more than most or not. If they are made to run all day, due to choice of tactics or the opposing teams choice of tactics making them run more, the choice of players at the start, all that comes in to play. Germany I think was one of the few who played this card. I didnt see other teams saving their players one match to keep them fresh for the next. .
