seldridge1960 Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 I was checking those out last month. Price has gone up on the new ones. Looks clean and mean but I'm still sitting on the fence as to if I want to get one of those, or just dive in and build the whole pit myself. Birdstrike = Chicken Sandwich!

I bought the original before this upgraded one had I known this was coming I would have waited and bought it..but if you have time and the resources..then build it yourself..do what you budget allows you to do.. But I will say I am very happy with my Obutto... [TABLE][/url][sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic89949_15.gif[/sIGPIC][/Table] Recruiting for Aerobatic Team/Fighter Group... BHawthorne Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Do I like them? Yes, but price is a key factor for me.

Deigs Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 I'm keen. Hoping to place an order in a few weeks for late July/August delivery. I'll have to learn how to set DCS up for 3 x 1080p monitors, and a centre mounted 22" touchscreen (on the wheel mount) running Helios. I'm not that savvy with this sort of stuff... time to start the learning curve again. Going to be fun playing with it though. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 161 Squadron Australia's DCS Community

Deigs Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 (edited) Starting to get all the kit to bolt onto this thing when it comes out. Just bought 3 x 27" view sonics (cheap at $255 each) as the main monitor. Just got to get a touchscreen, buttkicker, track ir5 and a video card to drive it... Damn this hobbys expensive. JaBoG32_Prinzartus Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 What's the difference? What's the advantage of the new one? Windows 10, I7 8700k@5,15GHz, 32GB Ram, GTX1080, HOTAS Warthog, Oculus Rift CV1, Obutto R3volution, Buttkicker [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ЯБоГ32_Принз

jocko417 Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 I like it but I'll wait for reviews before considering a purchase. I have a TM WH with an extended stick, not sure it could be mounted properly to take advantage of the longer stick throw, especially since it's essentially a car seat with no cut out in front.
JaBoG32_Prinzartus Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Did you not watch the video's..show's you all the added feature's that were not on the original Obutto... Now I did. Adjustabilty is the difference. Although more expensive that the old version, I am really tempted to buy this for my new Sim-room, which I will get within the next year. Deigs Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Been a fun week in prep for this things arrival. I needed 3 display port to DVI adapters for the monitors as the 7970HD card didn't come with adapters and the monitors aren't DP. Read lots about the active vs passive Display Port adapters but as mine are only 1080p monitors I didn't go for the expensive active ones. Cost me 75 bucks for 3 of them. I also over locked my CPU for the first time. Never even tried doing something like this. Went from 2.4 to 3.7GHz on a i7 920 on air cooler. I'm chuffed and enjoyed learning about the process. And lastly, preordered the r3volution, triple monitor mounts, side tables. Bought the Buttkicker unit, and a new Track IR5 with track clip pro. Now I just have to distract myself for the next month till it arrives. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 161 Squadron Australia's DCS Community
