its weird it shows on utorrent 0 seeds/191 peers? is that right? no wonder I'm not getting any thing for the last 6 ours. lol

 

I tried again 4th attempt failed stopped downloading after 4 hours. I came down to check. and not working. is the FBI and CIA capping us in the USA again?

Since the release at 0420 USA Pacific time I still dont have it. 2 down loads resulted in incorrect torrent link utorrent DCS World 1.2.0 = 1.1.2.1 files.

 

now at 1300 USA Pacific time still no steady download only at 29.8% 44.2k/bs I have no Idea whats going on...

Air_Wolf, there's a difference between Seeds/Peers that YOU are connected to, and Seeds/Peers in the network.

 

I've started to DL this package as well to help out with the seeding, and my nymbers are 16(175) Seeds and 43(672) Peers - that is, the former number is the number I am connected to, the latter the number in the network.

 

When seeding, make sure you allow a sane number of upload "slots" through your program. (This depends on your upstream speed - if you have 100mbit upstream, having only 2 upload slots is pointless for example, since most people have so much less bandwidth your upstream simply will not get utilized.

 

Also, if you are seeding all files at the same time, and not "only" the World package, do note that your torrent program may mandate a "total" maximum number of connection, meaning that you might end up using all your slots on one file, and have none free on the others. The solution here is to either accept it, or if you have a good upstream - increase the amount of permitted upstream connections.

I hear yea, but I haven't touch any settings in the torrent downloader..since the first beta and got many more then...well I guess I just have to suffer and wait it out..thanks...

My seed box seems to be uploading at 350kbps. Not sure why it's so low. I'll leave it running at 1mb/s cap.

Will seed soon as mine finishes. You guys download more than any other tracker I seed to. Prior to upgrading to a new server slot, I had uploaded like a terabyte of data to the eagle tracker. I am almost there again for DCS A-10. Can't wait to see how much I upload of Combined Arms. All I know is that when I used to attempt to download torrents it took forever. Figured I would remedy that by seeding 24/7 by renting a seed box. Hopefully it helps everyone.

Well my download is complete, and I'm now seeding to 30 peers at about 50Mbit/s. Hopefully that will help just a bit.

 

One reason you may not hit your cap is if all of your peers that are currently downloading from you do not have a combined capacity to download very fast. That is, if you have a limit of 5 leechers, and those 5 leechers are relatively slow, then you may not hit your cap. Alternatively, if you have too many leechers, your machine will bog down and your upload rate will also suffer. For me, once my seed box hit about 50 leechers, the upload rate went way down. So 30 seems to be a good number for me.

 

Also, as I typed this, I just went past 100%, in about 12 minutes, my host is going to hate me. ;)

Upload once to Usenet and it'll be propagated across servers. I can then download via my client and it would have taken me ~40 minutes to download the lot. As it is with Torrents, been going for ~14 hours and I'm 43% done. Doesn't require people seeding and most Usenet providers have very fat pipes.

So I am downloading with 30KB/s with my 20Mbit :(

 

I leave it on for some time when I'm done so others don't experience the same pain...though by the time I am done...not sure if I can't start the 1.3.0 download by then.

 

EDIT: HA! my peer connections were on default 50...now set to 300 I load with 1,5 - 2Mbit :D
