There seems to be an issue with the mig21 where when the afterburner is engaged the rpm is actually a negative value(can be seen by pressing F2 and looking at the rpm there) this causes an issue with the ns430 module where once afterburner is engaged it thinks there is no power or engine is off. Steps to reproduce 1. start mig21 in free flight or on the ground with the engine on 2. open ns430 and power it on 3. move throttle to just before engaging afterburner(ns430 will work) 4. Engage afterburner the and observe how the ns430 powers off(rpm will show negative in F2 view). 5. disengage afterburner and observe how the ns430 will power back on(rpm will be in the normal positive range). As the thread title states the ns 430 will power off when the afterburner on the mig21 kicks in and will power back on after the afterburner has been disengaged. Steps to reproduce: 1.Start mig-21 or spawn the mig 21 in the air. 2.open the ns430 and power it on. 3.increase throttle to engage afterbuner(ns430 will power off.) 4.Decrease throttle to mil power(ns430 will be powered again.) Thanks for the response Hiromachi.I have tried what you suggested and the issue still persists when using flanker cockpit all the other cockpit livery options work fine.

Anyone know if there is a way to stop the instrument textures being messed up when using flankers cockpit mod ?

i am also in favour of a option to disable asp gunsight "cheat" and any other simplifications for game play purposes i don't think a DCS quality aircraft should be trying to make things easier unless there is a very good reason for it.

I think there is a bug in some of the included missions where you wont be able to talk to the radar/GCI but you can place a radar in the editor and its frequency will be 124 which will be the same as radio channel 0 in the mig.

Top right corner of the front cockpit dash its the spo 3 sirena i believe, not as good as the the rwr in su 27, su 25 or mig 29 but it seems functional.

I reckon if the mi8 gets a good burst with its cannons before it descends into a turning fight the mi 8 will have a chance otherwise i think the huey would win.

Im pretty certain a decent ka 50 pilot would murder the others since he can lock with shkval and use helmet mounted sight to slew the canon.

Does the mig 21 have flare/chaff dispensers onboard or does it need the the sps 141 for chaff/flares ?

It means we will be able to watch the mig 21 in action via twitch or some other streaming source on the 4th.

I highly doubt that a game studio located in Moscow and crewed by what i must assume to be mostly Russians is biased against their own country's aircraft and armaments if anything it should be the opposite so can you stop with these shitty conspiracy theory arguments.

It was answered in one of the threads basically this version of the mig 21 does not have GCI equipment that the original Russian non export version has but you can still have gci by linking the mig 21 up to a awacs or EWR.

problem with the periscope is that it become unusable at higher G forces which annoyingly is the times when looking behind would be quite useful.That said my plans are to find a mig 29,follow him when contact is made go low full afterburner get close enough to loose all my r60m's and then run the hell home.

To be fair we are getting a much higher fidelity plane then we originally thought though i have to admit waiting on it is wearing thin.

I do not know what mig 21 or mi8 pics uve seen but both are at least on par with EDs if not better and to answer your question i believe the F18c will be next from ED.
