calibro8185 Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Are there any instructions on how the resource manager works? The basic options are easy enough to figure out but I'm not sure what they actually mean. Example: periodicity and speed. I'm guessing periodicity means how long it takes for the request resource size to come in, but what does speed pertain to. Suppliers options is another part that is unclear to me. A statement that this is still a WIP is cool too :):helpsmilie:
ED Team Wags Posted July 14, 2012 ED Team Posted July 14, 2012 Very much WIP. When completed there will be a full set on instructions. Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/wagmatt Twitch: wagmatt System: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3729544#post3729544
RastaPutin Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 (edited) Resource Manager : Is there any one out there ... not nessesarily from Ed or one of its testers, who has tried out the resource manager in DCSW and can clarify what these settings do .... thankyou? Speed = ? Periodicity = ? Size = ? Operational Level % ? Adding supplier ?? Ta Edited July 20, 2012 by RastaPutin
Eddie Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 When the features are actually implemented fully and not WiP they will be documented.
ED Team NineLine Posted July 20, 2012 ED Team Posted July 20, 2012 For right now just play with them and see what they do if any, you can make surrounding places suppliers for an airfield, I would imagine everything else determines how fast and often supplies and equipment are replenished... hellrequiem Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 About Warehouses: Well, my question is this:D, ¿is there some manual or tutorial with the purpose of show how to use all the functionalities of the Warehouses in airports as well as the "free" Warehouses? My particular problem is this one, ¿How to program the suppliers periodicity? Well, thats my question, thanks in advance.
Eddie Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 No. Because most aspects of the resource manager don't work yet, which is why the whole RM feature is WiP. For the time being take it that the only aspect of the RM that works is setting the available weapons/fuel etc. at an airbase.
Erforce Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Upcoming cool feature, i'm sure. right now i succeed in preventing guys to rearm. but not refuel. don't really have time to do extensive tests though. don't have a clue on suppliers right now. Grimes Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 The only stuff to my knowledge that works so far with RM is the supply of weapons/aircraft. So if the airbase runs out of a weapon or aircraft it simply isn't available to your coalition. Resupply and all that jazz is WIP. july865 Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 anyone with additional information regarding what they have working and or limitations so far with the RM? Asus x99, i7 5930k, 32g mem, MSI 1070GTX, 970 Samsung M.2, LG 35in Ultra-Wide, TrackIR 4 Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Eddie Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 The best advice I can give at the moment is that as far as version 1.2.0 goes, ignore the RM altogether. Limiting available weapons may work to a degree, but that's it.
mwd2 Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 do we have new information about, how the RM works? Playing: DCS World Intel i7-13700KF, 64GB DDR5 @5600MHz, RTX 4080 ZOTAC Trinity, WIN 11 64Bit Prof. Squadron "Serious Uglies" / Discord-Server: https://discord.gg/2WccwBh Ghost0815
Eddie Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 No. Still WiP. Remember it's a feature that is planned to come with the release of FC3.
[FD]Ripper Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 And now, with the deployment of version 1.2.3, some new information?

Weta43 Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 It's all in that other thread, but. Speed = the speed the 'convoy' will travel at Periodicity = How often the need for a convoy will be assesed (times per hour) Size = how much the convoy can carry (Tons) Operational Level % The level of supplies held at which a convoy will be requested Adding supplier If, and only if, an airbase or FARP is set to need a supplier, you can set one. It's WIP, but these things do (mostly :-) work Cheers.
112th_Rossi Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 This would make some interesting scenarios in multiplayer. Especially in PvP
ED Team NineLine Posted May 1, 2013 ED Team Posted May 1, 2013 I think (not sure) the goal is to eventually see the supplies moving between locations and be able to intercept or disrupt, as well right now you can place buildings as resupply sources, and of course these locations can be destroyed. Beyond that I am not sure. Maybe I'll ask Wags if we can get a small road map on the direction and intent of Resource Management.... to what level/extent this whole logistics feature will be modeled ? -will we be seeing those 'convoys' as transport trucks/vehicle groups or cargo planes moving and flying with supplies? -will they be destroyable and be affected in loss of resources and supplies they transport at that time in cargo? -will we be able to customize the cargo payload, assign specific routes and waypoints and control those in realtime (F10), as well customize convoy units/vehicle groups (to include AAA/SAM units for their protection, for example) and such? -will be there a limited number of transport convoys units as well? -will we be able to capture/loot/steal and/or salvage supplies from enemy's destroyed/neutralized supply convoys? if yes, then that will be something amazing! because that will change the whole strategic aspect of the game, for example you could paralyze the enemy by attacking their warehouses, fuel depots and supply transport convoys etc Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
ED Team NineLine Posted May 1, 2013 ED Team Posted May 1, 2013 yes, definitely that will be awesome to know more about it because if it reaches to such a complex level, there will be a need to add an additional game slot in sus of JTAC / GAME MASTER/ etc but something as 'LOGISTICS MANAGER' ,and that will be something even amazing Yeah I try to ad RM management into every mission I make even if I dont totally understand it at the moment :) I am pretty excited for the action it could add... chromium Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Yeah I try to ad RM management into every mission I make even if I dont totally understand it at the moment :) I am pretty excited for the action it could add... Just think at a lack-of-ammo troops on the front, you could have an ammo resupply convoy with escort (made by helos, for example). On the other hand, someone at the front that needs to hold position till resupply arrive. We only need to be able to start armored units with low percentage of ammo :). An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously.
