Pikey Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 And i can see why, but never knew until i tried to describe a location referencing a moving civvy vehicle on the road. Basically what you see in your game is nothing like what other players see, its just a different type of clutter. Would like to know how that affects collision detection...will a player vehicle just just pushed off the road in a collision with something another player cannot see? ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *
Evil.Bonsai Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Civilian traffic doesn't interract with sim traffic. They just pass through one another.

I am hoping this is something that will be changed in future maps, dont know if it can be fixed in the current system, now that we are on the ground, the civilian traffic just kinda breaks immersion. You can turn it off in settings. I leave it on 'light', 'cause there'll always be idiots out for a drive even when bombs are falling.:D

Grimes Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Yeah, you can't run over infantry either. Not that it is needed for gameplay or anything. calibro8185 Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Civ traffic does ram you if you get in the way. This has happened to me too. Kind of half goes through you half pushed you out of the way. Very annoying if you are on a bridge - very bad things happen like falling off, glitching that punts the MBT 5,000 feet in the air and comes down with a big bounce but no damage... ;)

As well some of the traffic looks like military vehicles, just think it needs changed although I am sure it would be a huge undertaking, thats why I hope its been chaged for EDGE and Nevada. Pikey Posted July 22, 2012 Author Posted July 22, 2012 Um have to respectfully disagree. Parking on a road and something hits you, you move. I've ended up rolling around after being T-boned. I haven;t studied it, maybe it was a game fuel truck, but my feeling was that it was part of the civvy traffic system. ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *
