Unable to use BlackShark2

I have DCS Blackshark2 (english upgrade) and it works fine on it's own. I also have World installed, and it works with the Su-25t and A-10C. I installed the English upgrade plugin for BS2, and it removed the $ icon from the Black Shark 2 icon, but I can't fly the black shark. When I try to do an instant action flight, it only lets me choose the A-10 or Su-25. when I load a pre-made mission for the shark, I can't fly, it will put my in an external view of an aircraft or vehicle, but I can't see or fly my aircraft... Any help?

Ok, I will ask what I hope is a better question. What is the proper procedure for installing world and plugging in the blackshark upgrade version to it?

uninstall ver 1.1.1.1

install DCSW ver 1.2.0

install plug-ins

install DCSW ver 1.2.0

install plug-ins

 

He is using the upgrade version so he needs to keep 1.1.1.1 installed to install the BS2 module.

Ahhh I had this same problem but I didn't realise I had to keep 1.1.1.1 installed. The instructions that came with the email newsletter did not mention that. Presumably this means I have to waste an activation reactivating it?

uninstalling bs2 doesn't deactivate it, you have to manually deactivate. For the upgrade version of bs2 you need to keep bs1 installed so that the drm can see that you have a valid copy of bs1.

 

DCS Product Installation

1- Uninstall all previous DCS products prior to versions 1.2.0 (except bs1 if you have the bs2 upgrade key)

2- To be safe, delete \Saved Games\DCS files

3- Install DCS World 1.2.0

4- Install each new DCS module (1.2.0 or latest Beta version)

Norm, make sure you install KA-50_bsupd_1.2.0.63205 and not KA-50_1.2.0.63205. The bsupd is for people that bought the upgrade. I was wondering why I couldn't get into any servers also and I went back and saw that I install the wrong patch.

No, not until you try to launch a mission or similarly actually play the game.

It will not aks for activation key if you had BS2 previously installed and activated on your system.

Why can't ED make it so that customers purchase a single BS2, check to see if the user has a BS1 serial, and give a discount if so?

That sounds much harder to me, especially as my BS1 is a retail copy.

The patch/upgrade worked for me. Yes, we all wish it could be painless, but that's not the case for some.

I have the same issue, and created ticked for support for that, but still waiting for response.

got it working. :) now need to get the rust out. Also, how can I get my Russian language voices back? I miss having Betty and the pilots (sounds like a band) speaking Russian, not just having accents.

I have the same problem also. Finally got my ticket answered, but didn't help. Back waiting again. :cry: BTW BS2 was activated. Norm how did you get it working ?
