flyinghigh Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 Hi All, I have Uninstalled KA 50 & Upgrade. Installed DCS World, Reinstalled KA50 V1 & Upgrade 2. KA50 not showing up inside DCS World. Is this the correct Install Procedure? Computer: intel i7 2600 cpu @3.4ghz , 64bit , 8gb Ram, Windows Windows 10, Twin AMD graphics Cards.
RaXha Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 (edited) Hi All, I have Uninstalled KA 50 & Upgrade. Installed DCS World, Reinstalled KA50 V1 & Upgrade 2. KA50 not showing up inside DCS World. Is this the correct Install Procedure? There is a specific module you need to download to get KA-50 in DCS world, the old install files are not needed. If you have purchased BS 1 and upgraded to 2 i believe the serial number doesn't work for that module in DCS world yet, only if you bought the full BS 2. (I dont have it myself so i'm not 100% sure about the last bit). So in short: Uninstall all versions of DCS 1.1.1.1, download DCS World installer and the appropriate add-on module from digitalcombatsimulator.com. Install DCS World and then the modules you want. Ro_Bert Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 Ok, I had DCS:BS in Steam, then I had the BS2 upgrade non-steam. Now I installed DCS World, had to reinstall DCS BS in steam to get the cdkey thing working with the DCS World BS2 upgrade. Now I have DCS World and DCS BS under it, working properly. Can I delete everything else related to DCS series? I mean, how I got it was DCS World wraps up everything together and nothing else is needed, correct? Also, if I purchase some existing/future DCS packs like P51 or A-10, do they get installed correctly "inside" DCS World? Thanks in advance and sorry for stealing your thread, I think this is related enough.
flyinghigh Posted July 22, 2012 Author Posted July 22, 2012 What we need to know is how ka50 gets into DCS World ? As far as I can see ka502 upgrade puts its Program folder next to DCSWorld not inside it.(as I would have expected). Does DCSWorld search Programs folder for related aircraft ? :) Computer: intel i7 2600 cpu @3.4ghz , 64bit , 8gb Ram, Windows Windows 10, Twin AMD graphics Cards.
Sarge55 Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 @ Warthogsmurf. Just to confirm, all I have to do is download and install the module you linked to and use my BS2 Upgrade key to activate it? No requirement to have BS1 installed? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] i7 10700K OC 5.1GHZ / 500GB SSD & 1TB M:2 & 4TB HDD / MSI Gaming MB / GTX 1080 / 32GB RAM / Win 10 / TrackIR 4 Pro / CH Pedals / TM Warthog

Cali Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Make sure you install KA-50_bsupd_1.2.0.63205 and not KA-50_1.2.0.63205. The bsupd is for people that bought the upgrade. I was wondering why I couldn't get into any servers also and I went back and saw that I install the wrong patch. i7-4820k @ 3.7, Windows 7 64-bit, 16GB 1866mhz EVGA GTX 970 2GB, 256GB SSD, 500GB WD, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFD's, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, G15 keyboard, 55" 4K LED

flyinghigh Posted July 25, 2012 Author Posted July 25, 2012 I Have DCS_World_en_1.2.0.63205 Ka50 1.0 patched 1.0.1c_ + Ka50 1.1.1.1.1 upgrade I'll go look for the DCS_BS2_EN_Upgrade_bsupd_12063205 & see how that works. :) Computer: intel i7 2600 cpu @3.4ghz , 64bit , 8gb Ram, Windows Windows 10, Twin AMD graphics Cards.
flyinghigh Posted July 26, 2012 Author Posted July 26, 2012 Thanks for all your help. You have all pointed me to one conclusion there are two ways of loading Ka-50. 1. If you want to load into ka50 standalone sim:- load ka50 v1, patch 1.0.1c , then upgrade KA-50_full_en_bsupd_1.1.1.1 2.If you want to load into DCSWorld :- Load ka50 v1 , patch 1.0.1c ,then upgrade KA-50_bsupd_1.2.0.63205 I hope this makes it a bit clearer to other pilots. See you in the DCSWorld. Flyinghigh. :) Computer: intel i7 2600 cpu @3.4ghz , 64bit , 8gb Ram, Windows Windows 10, Twin AMD graphics Cards.
