Mustang Posted October 1, 2012 Author Posted October 1, 2012 This modification never made it into v1.2.1 (hopefully it will in future updates) feel free to use with 1.2.1 though, i've tested it and its safe to use.
Aries Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Thx on the answer Mustang, even before the question was asked! :thumbup: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ...the few, the proud, the remaining...
Mustang Posted October 20, 2012 Author Posted October 20, 2012 You will need to make an alteration in your graphics.cfg for this to work, you can do it manually by editing lines 73 and 74 to this: mode = "USE_PRECOMPILED_EFFECTS_FOR_UNCHANGED_FILES"; //mode = "USE_PRECOMPILED_EFFECTS_ONLY";

armaholicbr Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Has it been added to 1.2.2? Voando.org - Brazilian Flight Community
Mustang Posted November 15, 2012 Author Posted November 15, 2012 (edited) Not yet, i keep pushing for it to be included but i guess other things are of importance to ED right now, however you can still use the mod included in this thread with 1.2.2 with no problems. P.S remember to refer to this post to get it to work correctly http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1583785&postcount=30 Edited November 16, 2012 by Mustang
Mustang Posted May 9, 2013 Author Posted May 9, 2013 Just a thread bump for those who may have missed this mod, this still works fine in current DCS World 1.2.4 (see first post)
Ali Fish Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 (edited) Just a thread bump for those who may have missed this mod, this still works fine in current DCS World 1.2.4 (see first post) good point, there is alot thats changed in file formatting for alot of mods. they kinda all need looked at for latest versions. Earlier in this thread you refer to graphics.cfg which leads me to question one thing thats different is that my graphics.cfg is now a graphics.lua is that correct mustang ? or should i have a .cfg file still ? im sure that i did see reference in the.lua version to there being possibility of .cfg still being used if present etc. but really unsure... how best to proceed etc ? Milli Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 1 thing thats different is that my graphics.cfg is now a graphics.lua is that correct mustang ? or should i have a .cfg file still ? See the readme file here for an explanation: DCS World\Config\graphics_readme.txt Regards, Milli
Ali Fish Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 See the readme file here for an explanation: DCS World\Config\graphics_readme.txt Regards, Milli thanks. :thumbup: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Mustang Posted May 9, 2013 Author Posted May 9, 2013 (edited) You should no longer need to worry about making any adjustments to any files, it's all in graphics.lua and by default altered .fx files are allowed - just drop the ovc.fx into Bazar\shaders\overcast and away you go. Edited May 12, 2013 by Mustang
Stonehouse Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Mustang, the readme says Bazar\shaders\overcast and I can see the ovc.fx file there - was your mention of Bazar\shaders\sky just a typo or is the readme wrong? Thanks, Stonehouse

metalicalypse Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Im confused, where do i put the file, in "Overcast" or "Sky" Folder?
Mustang Posted May 26, 2013 Author Posted May 26, 2013 Im confused, where do i put the file, in "Overcast" or "Sky" Folder? Overcast folder, you'll see an ovc.fx file of the same name in there, just overwrite it.
metalicalypse Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I did as you said, thank you! I have another question do i still need this with v1.2.4 ?
