Two questions regarding Ground Crew:

1 - After flying a mission and returning to the airport, I reload the aircraft with a load other than default (something else than what I started the mission with). How do I set up the DSMS with the new load? What buttons do I press to get the new load in the DSMS?

2 - What conditions must be met for the ground crew to repair damages? What types of damage will the ground crew repair/not repair? How long will it take to fix various parts of the aircraft?

1- hold down any OSB on the bottom line in an MFD, this will then change to the MDF Display options. Then Press the OSB with Load beside it, followed by the Page that you wish to replace, i replace status. Then just select load DSMS.

2 - Damage will be repaired when you ask for it and it takes 3 minutes to complete. The engines must be off so swith to ground power to avoid an INS realign.

Also, the field must be friendly (set to your coalition).

And you have to be close to tarmac. you also have to be stopped (engine off as razor sez)

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

By the way, I have noticed that there are no sufficient information about ground procedures, about radio communications with ATC (landing, taxiing and take-off) and ground crew, about using ground power, about using the external lights, about refueling and rearming etc. etc. in the official documentation pdf-files. This forum is the only place to get the necessary tips and information. Maybe there should be a specific chapter for these things in the manual?

The manual that those items should be in would be the DCS World GUI manual, which does not exist yet. I would sincerely hope that since World is no longer beta, proper documentation will be forthcoming.
