Iev been having this problem (one of many) when i start the heli myself, as i take off if i give to much throttle/pitch the two warning come up "RH Engine SVT LIM" and "LH engine SVT LIM", nothing happens if i keep flooring it at a hover but if i start flying forwards and i keep the throttle two high or until these warnings come up the blades will suddenly hit eachother and i crash  i cant figure out whats wrong and its getting annoying. Also (different issue) the heli keeps trying to turn to a certain direction if i do anything with the autopilot/auto correct (big blue bottons, bottom left) and its getting kinda annoying =/

This sounds a bit like new helo pilot syndrome :smilewink: ,just kidding

Firstly you are experiencing retreating blade stall, simply put this happens when you reach the helicopters maximum velocity. The blades hit each other because the advancing blade produces more lift than the retreating one and it's a co-axial helicopter. Normal configuration, helicopter rolls over, not blades hit.

Second, you need to keep trimming the aircraft to maintain course, you can read about it in the manual.

The KA-50 doesn't have an elevator? do you mean something else?

Do you have a track?

And welcome to the forums.

Also how are you starting the heli?

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Track? not quite shore what you mean =s

It is a 'Replay' of sorts that we will have a look at and that will tell us where you are erring, enabling us to then tell you what you are doing wrong and lastly enable us to tell you how to do it right.

To post a track, do the following:

Run the mission and when you have replicated the issue just hit 'Esc' and you will be taken to the debrief screen. On the debrief screen there is a tab that allows you to save the track named 'Save Track'. Click on 'Save Track' and follow the prompts to save the track which will be saved in your Saved Games/DCS...../Tracks folder.

Once the track is saved, navigate to the Main screen and hit the 'Replay' tab. Select your track to view and just confirm that the track has saved and is indeed playing back correctly and illustrating the problem as you experienced it in-mission.

If you are satisfied, exit SIM and post a reply to this thread. When doing so, you will notice a paperclip icon for attachments in the top toolbar. Click on the paperclip and a new window (manage attachments) will pop up. Hit the 'Choose file' tab on the left and navigate to the location of your track file and hit open. Thereafter hit the 'Upload' tab and the track will upload.

Once done, click on the paperclip icon again and the forums will automatically insert the track link for you in your text.

Hit the 'Submit Reply' tab and you're good to go.

Just so you know it's called cyclic control for a helicopter.

A track is a video replecation for when you complete a flight, then in the debrief, there is an option for watching the "track", you can save it, then post it here, people use it to show problems visually.

Edit: Damn sniped, but a far more in depth explanation :P

From where quick mission?

Yes Blades off, I believe the reason you are having trouble in the mission is because of the wind, It has a large effect on retreating blade stall and what direction you are flying relative to the wind. On a very windy day flying into the wind will break the helicopters blades at a lower indicated airspeed than a calm day. Flying away has the opposite effect.

Press the wind button on the INU, then fly towards it, it will make your rotors collide I bet ;)
