gsg Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I also have to reactivate, I have bs2 upgrade, but when I try it says: "Activation denied by server. Invalid Hardware Code. Make sure the Serial Number used is valid for the product you are trying to activate, generate a new Hardware Code and try again." Other modules activated fine. Any clues? Already tried to activate bs1, that worked but in bs2 I still have same error. Hi! I have the same problem with BS2.
ALDEGA Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 The correct file for BS2 Upgrade is KA-50_bsupd_1.2.1.5970.exe
speckfire Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Anyone having issues with the BS upgrade Module in the mission editor? Can you add the Ka-50 and be able to fly it as a player? Speed is life !!!

Chops Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Could I please have some official clarification from ED on the install procedure? I currently have BS 2 Upgrade 1.2.0 installed in DCS World 1.2.0 I am going to uninstall DCS World 1.2.0 and install the new 1.2.1 version. I have downloaded the BS 2 Upgrade 1.2.1 module which I will install into DCS World 1.2.1. Will I need to install BS 1 first on my harddrive prior to installing the latest BS 2 upgrade module in order to have it activated?

I'm also in a holding pattern, awaiting further instructions on how to treat the BS1 install before installing latest and greatest.

Samson Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Hey Chaps Quick, possibly n00b question! I haven't played BS for a while, and haven't got any BD stuff install atm. To install BS2 (I have bought the upgrade) do I need to install BS1 the full game, then install the BS2 upgrade module? I don't see a BS1 module anywhere. Thanks for your patience. S
Dejjvid Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Any way to upgrade the BS2 upgrade version to a full BS2 version? I'm sick of this bullsh't. There's like a hundred different ways to solve this gracefully, ED choose the worst possible way for the upgrade check. Keeping a dual install for every upgrade is a PITA, especially if you're using SSD's. i7 8700K | GTX 1080 Ti | 32GB RAM | 500GB M.2 SSD | TIR5 w/ Trackclip Pro | TM Hotas Warthog | Saitek Pro Flight Rudder [sigpic]http://www.132virtualwing.org[/sigpic]

Not that I disagree on your previous points, but there is a simple solution for this - you install BS1 to some other disk. It's a 4,4 GB footprint, I have it installed on one of my HDDs and just leave it there, doesn't bother me at all, tbh.
-Mop- Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Mmmmmhhh, ok....nice they fixed nearly everything, but... THE PERFORMANCE IS STILL MISSERABLE !!! :chair::chair::chair: Soooo... now i´m feeling better ;-)
Scooternutz Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 All right! One key per module. Now I have to install an outdated sim just to get another sim that I paid for to work as well. Meh, I am just a little fish in the big ED pond. Now I am asked, from another thread, to go to Amazon and write a positive review? The decrease in FPS is just another aggravation. I installed the last 1.2.0 right from the module using my SERNO. No BS1 install. In fact I was really happy because it took ED more than a month to get me a new BS1 SERNO as I had used all of mine already. Sure am glad I have that new SERNO now! cichlidfan Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 If that is the case, that BS1 is no longer needed then ED just created a very big problem for themselves. Scooternutz Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I am wondering now if we have to have the original Lock On CD for Flaming Cliffs 3. I hope not. I did see it on Amazon for $20. It seems to be confirmed in a lot of post, even from ED, that you need at least an FC2 version or previous version of the sim. Check the announcement of wags. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously.

Nate--IRL-- Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 WOW!!!!!!! With FC2 that would take it to $70. Does anyone else see anything wrong with this? Yes - FC2 is not required. It will work in lieu of LOMAC, but it isn't required. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
joey45 Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 For FC3 you would need LOMAC for legal reasons. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
