stunning , all we need is the kuz carrier done as well.

The Kuz is better and detailed than the old Vinson model.

Especially the collision model was (is) awful with the Vinson. We usually flown through the model (into water) if not arrived onto exactly arrestor cables :(

Interesting.

This, coupled with the updated highly detailed F-18 model... :)

Even if ED is not working on DCS: NavyJet, there are some third party projects on the way that could definitely use a new carrier model. I hope this project doesn't get mothballed. (Also here is hoping the slippery ship deck bug is fixed eventually or I will never be able to enjoy these beautiful new ships to their full potential.)

So if an F/A-18C with FC3 level cockpit and a new tanker is in the FC3 package would you buy it?

As opposed to what? FC3 not having it and thus nobody would buy it?

i386DX40@42 MHz w/i387 CP, 4 MB RAM (8*512 kB), Trident 8900C 1 MB w/16-bit RAMDAC ISA, Quantum 340 MB UDMA33, SB 16, DOS 6.22 w/QEMM + Win3.11CE, Quickshot 1btn 2axis, Numpad as hat. 2 FPH on a good day, 1 FPH avg.

DISCLAIMER: My posts are still absolutely useless. Just finding excuses not to learn the F-14 (HB's Swansong?).

Annoyed by my posts? Please consider donating. Once the target sum is reached, I'll be off to somewhere nice I promise not to post from. I'd buy that for a dollar!

I think that bug is fixed. Atleast 4 F-18's had no problems.

Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

Can't imagine the amount of work to model that. And also the serious poly reduction process!

Hope the two next steps are 'DCS: Navy Jet' and introduction of deck-crew...

That's because AI cheat. (although there was a separate AI specific problem that resulted in parked airplanes floating off the deck)

Try landing the Ka-50 on any moving ship in the game and you will slowly slide off the deck. This bug is serious enough that it is impossible to do a cold start takeoff from a moving destroyer or cruiser because you will either fall into the water or the rotors will hit the ship before you can get both engines spooled up.
