Hoggorm Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Me and a friend would like to fly online in the A-10. What fairly easy multiplayer missions should we try?
HiJack Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Nothing is easy ;) This is the user released multiplayer missions for A-10C http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/?arrFilter_pf%5Baircraft%5D=60&arrFilter_pf%5Bfiletype%5D=2&arrFilter_pf%5Bgameversion%5D=84&arrFilter_pf%5Bfilelang%5D=&arrFilter_CREATED_USER_NAME=&set_filter=Filter&set_filter=Y You also have a few missions from ED with the game. PFunk1606688187 Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Make sure the mission doesn't have any Buks in it. Most of the ones with Buks tend to be designed for Coops with Su-25s who can do effective SEAD. Warning: Nothing I say is automatically correct, even if I think it is.
Hoggorm Posted November 12, 2012 Author Posted November 12, 2012 Nothing is easy ;) Relative easy perhaps? :) Make sure the mission doesn't have any Buks in it. Most of the ones with Buks tend to be designed for Coops with Su-25s who can do effective SEAD. I see. Thank you!
mnrty Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 There is a coop one of the "hideout" mission originaly from ED. That is a fairly straightforward mission with no sams and a good briefing so you really understand what to do :)
Ralph2 Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Me and a friend would like to fly online in the A-10. What fairly easy multiplayer missions should we try? Mate I would get OP BACTRIA (v2). It is the most entertaining Mission on offer. You need to be able to use LGBs to fly as Hawg flight, or JTAC for Pig and Boar flights. When we started back into A10 we moved the Hawg spawn point in the Mission Editor to an air start near the control point (waypoint 1) and set radio comms to easy. That way it was the best dynamic training mission known to man.
shagrat Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Sounds familiar, I had the same situation when starting multiplayer with a buddy. Problem is most missions are designed for four-ship or two flights, requiring often four players at least, or are veeeery difficult to master with two players, only. I would recommend 'High stakes' for starters it accomodates two players. After some two or three sessions, I quickly started building my own missions for us. I will upload some of my earlier ones, if you like, they are designed for two players only, with air superiority and mostly MANPAD and AAA threats, rather than the usual WW III heavy russian anti-air screen. I'll send you a PM when they are available, I'm not at my gaming PC until Wednesday so be patient. Our latest mission is a quite long one that needs some playtesting anyway, so if you would like to test and give me feecback that would be nice ;) Shagrat - Flying Sims since 1984 - Win 10 | i5 10600K@4.1GHz | 64GB | GeForce RTX 3090 - Asus VG34VQL1B | TrackIR5 | Simshaker & Jetseat | VPForce Rhino Base & VIRPIL T50 CM2 Stick on 200mm curved extension | VIRPIL T50 CM2 Throttle | VPC Rotor TCS Plus/Apache64 Grip | MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals | WW Top Gun MIP | a hand made AHCP | 2x Elgato StreamDeck (Buttons galore)

Ralph2 Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 (edited) File attached. Again this is just a cut down version of the original CO_OP OP BACTRIA (not my work - Habu23 did a damn good job). Link to the full file and details: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=89051. It can take a few minutes for people joining on you to DL the file (another reason this is only a third of the original mission).BK_Bactria_4_Hawg_Day.miz Edited November 14, 2012 by Ralph2 Bad link originally
shagrat Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 (edited) My two player MP missions Here we go, I put up some older MP missions I did for two players. The FC2 one is simply a conversion of the original A-10A instant action mission, the original comes from ED. A-10A_MP_RS.miz Target Rich Environment is based on a Mission generator template pitting red against blue with CAS support. Good for just blowing stuff up. TargetRichEnvironment_1_2_x.miz GBU Depot was my first mission implementing trigger logic and a scenario. Fun to play. Needs some familiarity with GBU lase codes if done by the book and has a nice twist. UPDATED! 28th Dec 2012 GBU_Depot_MP_1_2_x-V3.miz Texas Hold 'em is a more challenging scenario, good for training target acquisition with eyeball Mk1... the TGP takes time, better look for smoke plumes and go below 12.000 ft. Careful, BMP guns hurt :D Keep in mind that your goal is not to kill everything, just stall the Tanks and BMPs pushing for Anapa, you may reload, but this takes time so coordinate with your buddy. Standard loadout is MAVs and CBUs... TexasHoldEm_MP_1_2_x.miz Search and destroy - The last is my yet 'unfinished' try to get a longer mission with good immersion and multiple tasks and randomization, so it will be good for replayability. This mission is designed for a whole afternoon, last time we play-tested we took 4 hours plus to finish it. It consists of two major parts, where the second part initiates when you land and reload. This is still being worked on, most of the triggers do what I want, most of the time and I still want to go for voice overs, but that will require time and good preparation. Feedback is welcome, especially I would like to know - if the tasks are clearly comprehensible, - if you got other tasks interfering with the passive ones from the briefing (Insurgent camp and artillery) - and what missions were triggered. You need knowledge on creating new Waypoints/handling MGRS coordinates. Also keep together as a flight. Coordinate your available ordnance. 'AFAC' and 'Striker' have different loadouts. SearchDestroy_1_2_x.miz Have fun! ;) Edited December 28, 2012 by shagrat Shagrat - Flying Sims since 1984 - Win 10 | i5 10600K@4.1GHz | 64GB | GeForce RTX 3090 - Asus VG34VQL1B | TrackIR5 | Simshaker & Jetseat | VPForce Rhino Base & VIRPIL T50 CM2 Stick on 200mm curved extension | VIRPIL T50 CM2 Throttle | VPC Rotor TCS Plus/Apache64 Grip | MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals | WW Top Gun MIP | a hand made AHCP | 2x Elgato StreamDeck (Buttons galore)
