Are there any operating instructions available for the F-15C in FC3?

I don't see any in the manual

Startup, takeoff, navigating, landing etc.

Wondering that myself. I'm new to DCS and FC. Would be nice to know how to fly the F-15. I hopped in and muddled my way through. The simplified flight model made it so that I was able to take off and land by guesstimating things but it would be nice to know the real operating procedures.

This was me on my first final with the F-15:

"Hmm, what's the stall speed on this thing? No clue... Well let me slow her down till she begins to wobble and then speed up a bit... OK... What should be my attitude and does this thing have air brakes? Oh well, too late: touchdown! I think P is for the parachute that slows the plane down (press P a few times). Hmm, nothing's happened and I'm halfway down the runway... Let me just pump the brakes (W... W... W... W...) Alright, that looks like a good speed. Time to taxi out of the runway. (Once in the parking area) How do I shut this thing down, other than the engines? Bah! Back to the Hog."

:) Sounds like you figured all the important stuff out.

no seriously...I need a key chart (it's not EXACTLY the same as FC2 apparently) at least. I'm excited to be mixing it up A2A again, but it's not fun when I am struggling to figure out commands for simple things.

Go into Options and select the aircraft. On the bottom right of the page, there's a button that says something like: "Make HTML". Click that and it'll save a copy of the keybindings for you and place it in your DCS Saved Games folder under Inputs(????) or whatever the folder is called. You can then print that off. You might want to import it into MS Word first. That prints of an really nice copy.

Haha, I suppose. Same thing with my take off. I just stared blankly down the runway for a few seconds before shrugging my shoulders and going balls to the wall.

It practically flew itself off the runway. Didn't have to pull back on the stick or anything. Feels so haphazard doing things so uninformed as I'm simultaneously learning the A-10C and having to be so mindful of the details.

:) Sounds like you figured all the important stuff out.

Does the FC3 F-15C have the same sort of flight modeling as the A-10C and P-51D?

It does seem a bit easy to handle.

Checking through the manual and commands list. I think at least in the Beta version there is no way to ramp start the F-15C

The Russian aircraft look like they have a command RShift+L to start their APU but there is no such command listed for the F-15C

The engine start commands RAlt+Home and RCtrl+Home do not work to start the engines either.

Edit. I got it to work

You just press RShift+Home and the engines start, the power is already on by default.

It just doesn't make any noise like the A-10C does.

It's so simple it was confusing me...

Absolutely not. It has a much simpler flight model.

Actually, the link Sabre posted is the most up-to-date version of that information. FC3 purchasers do not get this manual and the information in the included manual has not been updated in many years.

Check out this link.

I don't think it's the official released manual but it might be close.

As someone posted earlier, download the F-15 module and then get the doc from the docs folder.

Yeah, I have FC3, but the new F-15C manual is not included in the Docs.

Found it in the Steam.
