Good lord, now i can't login to DCS anymore ... what the ....

edit* ... Ok it seems i'm logged in , SOMEHOW , and when i click on "payments" it logs me out and takes me to home page.

I'm sorry but this website is a piece of TRASH .

I'm getting seriously annoyed now .

When i ment Payments, i ment those on the DCS website. There you can see if your order was succesfull and it will also give you the transaction code and your serialcode for your product.

I had exactly the same problem while trying to log in with the Opera Next browser.

You log in and when you press Login it trows you right back at the index page and you don't seem to have logged in.

If you press the "Forgot my password" link it takes you to another page which shows you logged in alright.

But if you then press the Payments button, you're back at square one...

If that is the case, clean out the cookies, if that doesn't help, just use IE or so...

Give it 24h, if the payment did not go through by then, please contact us.

Please, patience. Sorry for your inconvenience, but you can't fault ED for a problem on paypals end.

On the mail you got from PayPal saying that you send a payment to The Fighter Collection Limited (bev@fighter-collection.com) you will also find an Invoice ID (in light grey colour) , just above the text "Issues with this transaction? You have 45 days from the date of the transaction....

This Invoice ID is the transactionnumber that shows up in the payment section over at the DCS website along with the product that you bought (and is different from PayPal transaction ID you find on top of the PayPal mail).

This Invoice ID number is the number you have to add if you supply a support ticket on the DCS website and is the number that they check when you have a problem.

If ED supplied such a transactionnumber to the PayPal mail, you have actually bought some stuff (which does not mean you get it though) and have something to track your problem.

…So it looks as if the problem is not on my end ...

Let's see, you noticed that it logged you off , that you had to register 3 times, sudden language change, no red flags came up for you? I also normally use chrome and was annoyed that I had to fire up IE , to complete the purchase, but is it not your responsibility to watch over yourself? Yes the website should work properly for any browser, but why jump of a cliff when you see all the warnings?

Im sure ED will rectify your situation, they are not at it to cheat people out of their40 bucks. With that after several years in tech support I have a strong case of alergy to "wahh! I could not possibly done anything wrong"

Good luck

Anton.

Well, in my defense, google chrome is the MOST used browser .

And when gamers are concerned, nobody uses IE anymore and haven't for a pretty long time.

The reason i switched to chrome was because of IE being so crap , since i switched to chrome i had literally 0 problems with any website.

But anyways, it seems like the payment got through.

At that point all that has to happen is an email needs to be sent to me. I'm no tech-expert but i don't think it matters what browser i'm using after that point ?

No, not that one, that's from PayPal!!

You need the number where it says: Invoice ID: That's the transaction code from ED.

Something like this when you log into your PayPal account:

Order Description: Eagle Dynamics E-Shop

Invoice ID: TXNK-------------

Date: 8 Nov 2012

Time: 12:30:18 PST

Status: Completed

It's not because it's the most used browser that it is the best (i don't like it, even it might be the best and most used) and i only started to use Opera (after i tried out about a dozen) only recently. And you should be amazed to see how much people still use IE, even today.

Also, i can't use Chrome for use on one of my bank accounts. Phoned them up asking why it didn't work and their reply was plain simple... we don't support Chrome, only IE and FireFox.

So what should i have done then... change bank because of one lousy browser? Guess not.

Yeah i already posted that one .

Nope you didn't. You talked about the "unique transaction reference" in your post above. That's the PayPal one, that's the one you don't need.

To back Lazarus up I have to add, that I bought FC3 and P-51 the same way, and everything went flawlessly. I'm using firefox, and error 002 was shown on ED E-Shop. When looking into my payments section in DCS profile there's no sign of saturday's Combined Arms failed transaction. Only in emails from PayPal i can find the Invoice ID.

@ Lange_666 True. But you probably got a message from your bank that they didn't support it . Like on your screen "This browser is not supported" or somethign like that .

At least then you know before making purchases.

Anyway, the transaction code i got from ED is : TXN35R1VMBJSBO**** (i deleted last 4 entries, not sure if i can post the full code in public for safety reasons ? )

@ ophiuchus

So yo used firefox . Same problem . Did you at least receive the game ? How long did it take ?

Again, from what we can see right now, there was a problem between sagepay and paypal that had nothing to do with us and temporarily affected other online providers. However we are still investigating to make sure there was not a problem on our end as well. At this point the sagepay-paypal issue has been resolved, so now we have to go though our recent transactions make sure all of the payments are processed correctly. We do apologize for the inconvenience and it may take a little time, but you will certainly get what you paid for from us.

Bare in mind that EA had more PR staff on CoD [enter number here] Release then ED's entire staff...

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

CLASS ACTION LAW-SUIT !

Everyone has been exceedingly courteous despite there being no shortage of blame from your side, now tone it down a little. You have received 2 apologies even though at this time it is not even clear whether ED are the ones to blame, now is 24h of patience and a little courtesy too much to ask?

My first guess was, that sagepay received the money for CA and something went wrong while transfering it to ED, I hope that everything is back on track by now ;) I don't think there's need to be nervous.

Believe it or not bunch of IE versions are still used today. Haven't seen browser usage report of our site for quite some time, but last I seen IE between its all versions was at the top. Actually it is the sole browser allowed to be on corporate laptop I use. Coupled with security and encription suite that the bank I work for demands + my tool of trade brings this brand new sparkling i7 laptop to its knees. But perhaps there is a good reason behind it? Or do you think

one of the major US companies has complete idiots designing its infrastructure? (Although I do agree it sertainly may seem so at a times :) )

Should you have had flawless transaction? Of course. Is there website issues? Perhaps. Yet my friend professionalism is ability to find workarounds to complete the task you need. There must be a door, but when there isn't smashing your forehead against the wall will not help. And when you do and your forehead is bleeding is it really wall's fault?

Hope this debacle is resolved soon and you finally get up in the air to get shot down :)

Hi All !

Oh well just to add my input

Just tried to purchase flaming cliffs 3 beta, using IE and guess what

after confirming the paypal payment got the 'error 02' too, and an email from paypal saying the payment has been taken.

So at least it's not the browser at fault with these issues.

Funnily enough I only proceeded after logging a ticket with ED as I could not get to the payment part of the checkout on Chrome, saw this thread that it might be a cookie problem so tried IE and managed to get to the paypal payment part. ( so almost a good thing )

Guess I'll open another ticket concerning the payment and see what happens

regards

kevin
