Why the Su-25T feels more sluggish than the A-10C

Here is something to think about:

in the last 50 years no superpower(USA, USSR) managed to win a major war. Period...

Korean war - Cese fire

Vietnam war - defeat

Afghan war(80s) - defeat

1st Gulf war - no win or loose...

Balkan war - debatleble

2nd Gulf war - still ongoing...

Afghan war(present day) - looks like defeat to me....

 

But in any case... the so called "winner" will write the history books... document films... and the TV soaps...

 

I agree with pepin that the western media is suppressing the correct information for the reasons of PROPAGANDA.. and the SAME on the other sides...

 

Truth is guys (who ever lives in the west[thats inclueding me]) is being lied to ALL DAY LONG. The war on terror...on drugs.... education....

WE WILL NEVER KNOW THE TRUTH... get it? I hope u guys read this again...

 

Look around you see that u are being decived and manipulated. All we can do is to try to have fun... and no you will not find HUD footage on this... but u will find gun cam on US army aviation moveing down children...russian spatnaz killing chechens.... and so forth....

 

And a personal observation GGTharos... yes you are biased...and yes you do have experience... (i suspect you being ex Airforce) but have u asked your self... is it objective or subjective what you put out...

I would love to see proof for ALL the discussions that we have on this forum.... but will we? Manuals that people have clamed to have.... data sheets.... nope.... none.... nada....nix...

Why does the T-Toad feel more sluggish than the A-10C?

 

You're fighting the A-10C on his terms, ie low and slow. Do not do that. Use the T-Toads superiority to tag him from range. If you do merge, use your speed advantage and take the fight to the vertical where the A-10 cannot hope to follow and dictate the fight from there.

 

Speed is Life, period. If you allow the Hog to drag you into the mudpit for a wallow then you're gonna drown.

A-10C has bigger wing with more surface area and it can turn better. The Su-25 is faster and slightly more aerodynamic (A-10C straight out wing vs Su-25 wing is shaped like a wing). I have noticed that the Su-25A/T does turn slightly better if you put stage 1 flaps down. If the turning circle isn't improved it at least provides better stability while turning.

The Yougoslavian Mig-29 had a lot of problems in their radars and a lot of technical problems and were not spare parts for them. They were not able to use their radar. There are 3 Nato F-16 shootdown by yugoslavian Migs by the serbian pilots: Nebojsa Nikolic, Ljubisa Velickovic, Iljo Arizanov, one F-15 by the serbian pilot Zoran Radosavljevic and other F-15 damaged by the serbian pilot Slodoban Peric.

 

All of them are denied by the most profetional liars ever existed.

As much as I love the Fulcrum, it did nothing but get shot down during the conflict. The pilots should receive Medals for Bravery only for daring to seat into cockpits and take-off, knowing they had little to no chance over the fighter umbrella NATO fighters put over Serbia. If there would be more aircraft shot down, they would be shown - afterall what's the better propaganda than a shot down enemy plane? Pilot of course, but Serbia didn't catch any ;) There were even claims B-2 was shot down :D

Yeah I admit, there were some clever things invented during the conflict like wooden MiG decoys, Yugos with wooden pole sticking through the windshield representing armour and microwave oven decoys for HARMs. But as to Air to air combat, face it, you didn't have a chance.

 

As for the MiG-29 vs F-16 performance goes, I haven't read the intreview on f16.net but I did read a few F-16 pilot interviews in Air Forces Monthly and most claimed Falcon and Fulcrum were pretty much matched in the air. Just saying...

Before somebody have said something about Israel: The results of every campaign against Israel is a long and difficult history to explain and one person with a good logic can see that the hardware used was not the cause of every outcome.
