Whilst flying a mission tonight online, a "NH" symbol appeared in the RWR, and can anybody tell me what this was? Can't find it listed in the manual (pg 410)..

I'm thinking maybe a helicopter of some kind...

Helicopters don't have radars, except for a small number of exceptions, and those are not modelled in DCS.

The first thing that pops to mind for NH is Nike Hercules, but those are also not modelled in DCS.

Maybe it was a ship of some kind, those sometimes have "odd" RWR symbols.

I was around the coastal area of Sochi, so could be a naval vessel of some kind.

Still intrigued as to what it was.

May be a Ship? Neustrashimy Frigate? They have air radar, too... just a guess, though, and I don't have time to check in the Sim.

No it's not.

Well there is a good chance it 'might' be and our friend is just getting confused.

Peter the Great shows up as HN on the RWR...... I have no idea what NH is and I have never seen it, I think he 'might' have got the NH and HN mixed up.

No

I think it does but it doesn't give a launch warning when it fires.

No. It's silent on RWR completely. Unless it intermittently comes through.

Try it in SP...

"HP" however comes up for the Grisha I think.

I reckon you're correct, nevermind though since this is all fixed in 1.2.3 :)

Hang on.... *looks around* ahh we're in the A-10C section and not FC3 etc. Yeah it works for 'HN' A-10C RWR not A-10A/F-15C.

My bad. Back to the salt mines... carry on folks...
