mike2033 Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Hello DCS Community, I'm not sure what I do wrong. I'm using the latest DCS A10C patch (1.1.1.1). When I 1. Set Battery Power to on 2. Set Inverter to standby it gives me an low oil pressure warning. Is it normal? What I did wrong? And is it normal that it shows me "APU On" after the first and second engine started? My English is not the best, but I hope you could help me. Thanks! =)
WarthogSmurf Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 (edited) this is a bug fixed in the lastest patch called DCS World Your 1.1.1.1 key works on it and you can download it at digitalcombatsimulator.com . If you have the steam version use that key and download World. ED doesnt support steam anymore Edited February 12, 2013 by WarthogSmurf
sobek Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Hi! 1) 1.1.1.1 is not the latest patch. You can get the newest version from http://www.dcs-world.com if you are so inclined. 2) IIRC this is a bug. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
Lord_Pyro Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 You could turn on the inverter before switching on the battery. This would be the common work around. [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic70340_1.gif[/sIGPIC]

zerver Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 DCS A-10C and DCS Ka-50 standalones are outdated at the moment. Currently there is DCS World, that brings all modules together, as single application (plus its modules are up-to-date). Download DCS World from here: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?ProductId=21&end_pos=137&scr=product&lang=en And A-10C MODULE from here: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=8&end_pos=136&lang=en Install DCS World, then install A-10C module. Start world, and launch mission with A-10C. You will be asked to enter your A-10 serial number.

Thank you very very much! The community here is awesome. But another question - did you ever tried aerial refueling with a keyboard? This is so hard, unbelieveable.... Thanks again, I gonna download those patches. Edited February 12, 2013 by mike2033
mike2033 Posted February 12, 2013 Author Posted February 12, 2013 Do I have to install DCS World in A10C directory?
zerver Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 (edited) No, install it into different directory (default perhaps?). After you have installed DCS World, and A-10C module, you can safely uninstall A-10C standalone. You really should get even cheap stick, if you want to enjoy this sim. Back then I was using Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. Well, it wasn’t great, but still much better than keyboard, and it was pretty affordable. Edited February 12, 2013 by zerver
Yurgon Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 did you ever tried aerial refueling with a keyboard? Hell no! I think that's next to impossible. What zerver said: At least get a cheap stick. Air-to-air refueling is a challenge for everyone, but I don't think it's doable with keyboard alone. If you want to stick to this hobby, think about getting a HOTAS (Saitek X52 is usually a good choice, and of course the TM Warthog - expensive, but damn worth every cent), that'll make flying and combat employment so much easier. Also, a head tracker like FaceTrackNoIR or TrackIR is pretty much a must-have if you're serious about flying the Hog. You picked yourself an expensive hobby. :)
