Watching the In Game Training - Pickup video...

I doubt that I will be able to make those fine of adjustments with my Hotas Warthog stick. I find it way to stiff to be that accurate with small adjustments.

I will have to hook up my trusty 568 Combat stick instead I guess.

Ask Jesus for Forgiveness before you takeoff :pilotfly:!

I have been thinking that FFB might be a necessity for this one.

Found this:

"In-flight Control Force Inputs for the US Army UH-1 Helicopter During Hydraulics-on and Hydraulics-off Approaches and Landings"

Cyclic forces are really small usually less then 5 Newtons (1 lbf). So taking the spring out might actually make it pretty close.

I had three minutes to fly this morning before leaving for work. Quickly changed my collective to my throttle from slider (X52 default) and made a quick missions where I would start on the runway at Batumi.

My first thought is I can't wait to breath life into the engine vs starting ready for takeoff...anyway, 2mins 05 seconds to fly...

I gently pull on the collective anticipating the swing of the tail rotor, pop up into a relatively controlled hover (not really)...i gently push forward on the stick controlling my collective and rudders and I made a sloppy move into transitional flight...phew...that was tough, going to need some practice for sure.

Cruising with the bird was steady and I made a slow circuit and brought her into land. As my airspeed slowed I tried my best to control where I wanted her to go vs where she wanted to go. Once out of transitional flight once again I found myself feeling out of control. I managed to set her down relatively gently, but there was a few miliseconds before touching down my co-pilot was probably wetting himself.

Touch down and exit....honestly it was 3 minutes, I enjoyed every second of it. Unfortunately Belsimtek has rendered the other DCS modules (at this point at least) useless on my computer, I'm going to be spending lots of time with this bird.

Well done Belsimtek.
