Nice work. You said before that you'll use Milan's controller. Here I see arduino and one other board, matrix board maybe or shield. Can you say something about your controllers and software? What kind of sensors do you plan to use?

If people discussing things on a public forum is too much for you to bear, the Internet may not be for you. I think that it's important and a source of feedback for Hegy to know the sentiments of his potential market. For a while it felt like his product line was the "Star Citizen" of peripherals. However, he seems to have made some big steps as of late. Nobody hates him or wants him to fail. Fwiw, it's annoying to have to read you trying to silence the opinion of anyone who isn't purely a cheerleader.

Can you say something about your controllers and software? What kind of sensors do you plan to use?

 

Milan's controller for joystick base and throttles, that's for sure. Here it might be overkill, it might be perfect. I' curious to see how many buttons/toggles/rotaries/pots arduinos can handle. I'm not worried about firmware. There are dozens and dozens of talented programers here, and out there. Unfortunately there's no one doing the large scale work regarding hardware. That's the bottleneck. When I finish ironing out small details, I'll be able to turn out thousands of these panels per week, or hundreds per day, or dozens per hour. Whatever, It all just translates into much cheaper per unit. And I'm sure a lot of programmers will pitch in to make them come to life, once that bottleneck is gone, snowball effect. Bare minimum for now is arduino plus mmjoy or something like that.

Sorry, misunderstanding. Like I said, not easy to put this into words. When I get actual measurements, make some videos, it'll be a much smoother communication.

The plan is to set up custom machinery to make everything, either in large quantities if there's a need, or small quantities quickly if there's not. By the time I get to Airbus, you won't need a worthog. It won't be soon though.

There's a uge difference in showing skepticism and concern for a project you're hoping succeeds and you have a genuine interest in vs. Making a post on a public discussion forum telling other people that they're not allowed to express said opinion. It's fine to disagree with people all day. It's fine to question people. What is truly obnoxious is an individual trying to silence another because they have an opposing point of view. I don't feel bad.

I usually do, but if the constructive and sarcastic people get to voice their opinions, then the people who disagree with the sarcastic/constructive people should be able to as well.

Also keep in mind Beeroshima, that while this is a public forum we don't necessarily have "freedom of speech" so to speak. The mods determine what matches the level of respect and courtesy that they want. So if someone feels that an individual should be told that the best idea would be to keep quiet, they should be able to. Especially if they want to warn them of being too sarcastic and/or disrespectful. (Not saying that was what was going on, but I'm sure you get what I mean)
