Mustang Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 You can set water to "medium" and this bug is gone! ;) Best Regards Viper set water to medium? noooo thanks, and if i owned an X1800 i wouldn't want to go backwards either.....i've been using the high water settings since my 9700pro and never had this issue, until this broken driver came along anyways :) maybe its because i'm used to the way the water looks on high, the reflections, waves, etc i love it, going back to medium is just....not going to happen
iceden Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Yep I have same bug. Disappointing that now, again, we'll have to wait for another patch and hope that this time, the validation team has used current drivers/hardware in their efforts. So much for movie making until this get fixed.
NY3D Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 join the club... I have a ATI X800 XT and have the same problem, even with the Cat. 5.13

ED Team Groove Posted December 29, 2005 Author ED Team Posted December 29, 2005 as the 5.12 cat drivers giving a performance boost for my graphic card and my dual core cpu i will have to live with this bug. Our Forum Rules: http://forums.eagle.ru/rules.php#en
Prophet_169th Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 Sounds like its a driver issue, nothing ED can do.
wiz_of_wuz Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 appears to be fixed! I downloaded and installed ATI release 5.13. I do not see the issue anymore! Anyone else confirm?:)
ФрогФут Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 I see. Also Live for Speed and F1 99-02 show fps of 20 instead of 60+.:) "Я ошеломлён, но думаю об этом другими словами", - некий гражданин Ноет котик, ноет кротик, Ноет в небе самолетик, Ноют клумбы и кусты - Ноют все. Поной и ты.

Mustang Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 yup... water to medium works... I wonder if ATI even knows this is occuring? i've tried reporting this issue in various forums like Rage3D here http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33705231&page=91 next thing i'm going to do is fill out a Catalyst Crew Feedback form at ATi.com and see if it gets noticed....
