Mr_Burns Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 I wanted to get back into DCS A-10 (been Flamin Cliffs). So I set up a couple of programs (Easy Monitor Configurator and Helios). EMC didnt work so after some advice on here I realised I had never updated A-10 since DCS world. So I re-installed it and EMC worked. Helios I gave up on since it wouldnt find my install but after searching here there seems to be a fix but I need to play the game to test it. Now I run DCS world and I cannot fly the A-10C, it always puts me in F2 view with an AI pilot - even if I select a user made mission with Player as the only A-10 it just lets me watch an AI. Ive been going for 6 hours now and am very tired!! Can anybody help? Thanks
mnrty Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Ive been having the same issue. It seems to me it happens when i try to jump directly from the ME i to the mission. If i save it and open it in the 'mission' section, it works fine with me :)

ED Team BIGNEWY Posted May 5, 2013 ED Team Posted May 5, 2013 Are you running version 1.2.4 MR_Burns ? Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Mr_Burns Posted May 5, 2013 Author Posted May 5, 2013 Yep, I had A-10c when it was standalone then started FC3 and DCS World. FC3 was bought and runs fine in DCS worls and multiplayer. Today I was having issues with Easy Monitor and for the first time realised I couldnt select A-10C campaigns in DCS world. So I uninstalled the previos A-10C standalone and installed latest version from the DCS website (About a Gigabyte). This allowed me to see the A-10C campaign and start it but its a non flyable aircraft of the F2 view (like when you select a user mission and forget to add a 'playable' aircraft. I thought everything auto updated to sync itself? DCS World auto updates so surely my FC3 or A-10C would??
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted May 5, 2013 ED Team Posted May 5, 2013 With DCS world you can now go to the start menu / eagle dynamics / dcs world / repair DCS world. have you tried that, ? might be worth a go if you are still having issues Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Fishbreath Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 I had the same problem with BS2 after updating to 1.2.4. I had to uninstall and reinstall everything to get it working again. Yellonet Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 It sounds like the game haven't been activated. Perhaps you can try to activate the A-10C module again. Run: <install folder>\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\A-10C\bin\a10_protect.exe i7-2600k@4GHz, 8GB, R9 280X 3GB, SSD, HOTAS WH, Pro Flight Combat Pedals, TIR5
sdmccorm Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 and you did install the separate A10 Module....? If so, Mr_Burns, did you forget to release the hounds? Sorry I couldn't help myself... Mack
Mr_Burns Posted May 5, 2013 Author Posted May 5, 2013 Yellonet, thanks i ran that and it seemed to run fine...but it didnt fix it. Do you think it could be because I havent programmed all of the controls? (my profile only has the AXIS assigned)? As for the hounds, dont get me started, they were set to release on the modifier + missile launch, i had some Pikeys steal my roof lead the other day and that didnt work either.
Hamblue Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 When you start world does the A-10 have a dollar sign over it or is it clear? Dollar sign means the program thinks you haven't bought it. Also try starting in multiplayer. Asus Sabertooth P67 Motherboard 2600k CPU, 16 gig DDR3, 1600. Samsung 830, 256 gig hard drive, GTX780 Video Card, Warthog Hotas, Razer Mamba mouse. Mr_Burns Posted May 5, 2013 Author Posted May 5, 2013 hey hamblue, i go into DCS world, no dollar sign, go into the module support and my DCS and FC3 is there with the key code. Went into multiplayer and selected an A-10 and it doesnt even put me into an aircraft. FC3 still works. I have uninstalled DCS world and am currently downloading it again....ZZZZzzzzzzzz Se you tomorrow guys, any other comments appreciated, its 12am here in Aus but I want to watch Man U vs Chelsea, I will be a state at work tomorrow, think I will close the office door and pretend I am on a teleconference!!

Sounds like an unactivate a-10c module. Even if there is no $ sign on your a10 icon you should have been prompted to enter your cd key the first time you tried to play a-10c. If you don't activate a module you get put into external view only and all you can do is watch planes fly around. Go to Module manager on ther DCS world main screen and see if A-10c has a key listed. There is also a place on DCS website that list all your keys, sorry don't have link handy.
