Wine Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Dear E.D. development team, On behalf of the Dutch DCS-World / BlackShark2 / Flaming Cliffs 3 community, we would like to make a request for an update of the AH-64D Apache model for the Royal Netherlands Air Force ( RNLAF ). We have something to offer in return ! The operational RNLAF AH-64D is not equipped with the Longbow radar on top of the rotor head. The RNLAF version is known as the “Radarless Longbow”. It also does not have the IR jammer cylinder installed on top of the fuselage. We would like to request to remove the longbow radar and add the smaller system on the model for the RNLAF AH-64D. We would like to request to remove the IR jammer from the model for the RNLAF AH-64D. The RNLAF AH-64D’s are equipped with the Amase protection system, which can detect guided missiles ( SAM’s ) and can respond to the threats of heat seeking missiles by firing flares. We have created both the Amase pod models, the shape of the left and right Amase pods are a little different and we would like to provide these models including the green camo color skin file to the E.D. development team for use with the RNLAF AH-64D. In order to be able to add the normal weapons, this also means we need two extra pylons to be fitted on the model to be able to select and add the Amase pods to the RNLAF AH-64D in the mission editor / load-out editor. We would like the RNLAF AH-64D to fire 4 flares at the same time, 2 flares on the left and 2 on the right side and in different directions like displayed in the picture of the demo Apache. The flares should be fired from the location of the Amase pods. Responding to our request would be much appreciated by the Dutch DCS-World / BlackShark 2 / Flaming Cliffs 3 community. SkateZilla Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 so you want them to Mod the Spec US Army Model to a specific nation model at your request?...... smh...... Wine Posted May 22, 2013 Author Posted May 22, 2013 Yes SkateZilla, just like the F16A's of the RNLAF ( the Belgium and Norwegian too by the way ) they have an parachute box on the tail, the US F16 don't. That was / is also modeled by E.D. So I think it's possible for them to model it. Greets. Wine's Skinning Projects
RIFLE_JTAC_TRAINING Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 I dig it. Worse case scenario they say no or add it to the pile of things to do! I applaud you guys bringing the details forward. I would have never guessed. Good luck and I for one am totally on board with this. 63 My CAS (Close air support) JTAC Channel: RIFLE - YouTube RIFLE's Discord: https://discord.gg/cmDCrr4Z2g Publications JTAC Bible (see/know chapter #5) https://fas.org/irp/doddir/dod/jp3_09_3.pdf J-FIRE pocket guide (Don't do battle without it!) aussieboy Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 You could use transparent textures to hide the IR system.
NRG-Vampire Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 You could use transparent textures to hide the IR system. ^ no way but ask HungaroJET, i am sure he can quickly remove both radar and disco ball and maybe he will give you some surprise more ;) but i guess he is too busy - as always :) good looking Amase pod anyway
Punisher74 Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 If they would make a player fly able AH-64D with a realistic cockpit like the A-10C/Blackshark I'd buy it. Thanks, Lt. Commander Jason "Punisher" M Hardware: i7 10700K 5 GHz Quad Core, Water-cooled , 32GBs 2400 DDR4 RAM, MSI Intel Z470A GAMING MB, MSI RTX 3080 GPU W/10GBs GDDR6X, 512GB NVME.2 SSD, 1TB NVME.2 SSD, 2TB External SSD, 2 512Gb SSD's & 1 350 Gb HARDDRIVE, WinWing Orion 2 Stick Base and Throttle Base, Quest 2, Windows 11 (64bit)
Prophet Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 I'd buy 2 LOL. One of the first sims I got into was Janes Longbow. Sadly this thread was 2 years old.
rkrebs11 Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Hi, I haven't been on this forum since A10 Warthog came out. I still get emails from DCS hoping, just hoping that one day I would see they are offering the AH-64D Longbow. Please, please get this sim for us. I would also like to start seeing some post Korean War platforms like the F-15E Strike Eagle. Microprose's sim was the first flight sim I played and then Falcon 3 and Flanker after that. Please bring these classics back with full interactive cockpits. Please, I would like to see these before I die. :)

Punisher74 Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 I have a reskin of the balks shark 2 helicopter to a ah-64 but it uses the Blackshark pit. Just not the same I'd like a real ah-64D, F-35, F-22, Little Bird, Blackhawk, Harrier, F-4 Phantom, even a drone, more theaters of operation, and the best of all voice activated tower commands (speaking request to start, etc), voice activated Flight and wingman radio chatter (ordering flight or wingmen to do the commands listed in radio, etc). Thanks, Lt.
