Airtime publishing have some good up to date books. Use a search eng' to find them.

I have another good one called the great book of modern warplanes. Has been out a couple of years or so, and is good on Western AC (mainly Fighters) but not detailed on Russian stuff. ISBN for this book is;0-86288-680-5.

IronHand - Smashing the Enemy's Air Defences by A Thornborough & F Mormillo ISBN 1 85260 605 3

Just finished reading this excellent history covering early 'Nam years through to the present day. A must read for anyone interested in SEAD.

For the A-10 fan, I'd recommend

Warthog: Flying the A-10 in the Gulf War by William L Smallwood

That would be great.

How do we find out about the Copyright?

upload and dont give a shiat bout copyright, just upload them to a site that is kinda hard to track back to you, or upload and only give trustworthy people the link.

everything on the net is fair game, but as i like to say, if you download something that you know is illegal, and like it, then buy an original copy, think of the illegal copy as a demo or whatever and then as a backup when you buy the original.

I say upload em and give me teh link ;)

BRD, dammmmmmmmm i thought i was bad when it came to ISBN numbers on books, but i see i am not alone ;)

if you live in the uk anyone, become a member of the military book club -

http://www.militarybookclub.co.uk

I have been a member for a good few years now, and they get all the good books as and when they are released, they also give you good deals compared to normal shops etc.

They send you a catalogue every 2 months or so, you are not obligated to buy, but I like the club for the fact that they have some great stuff, highly recommended.

You'll love it! it's a great book!

Another great book is:

Fighter Missions by Bill Gunston, Lindsay Peacock - Guild Publishing

Describes many types of missions (both Air-to-Air and Air-to-Ground) from pilot's perspective, from mission planning to debriefing. It's fictional but gives a good idea on how things work (even though it's "a bit" biased towards Western aircraft, since it was written about 15 years ago)

And two very good technical books (to have a basic understanding of aviation topics) are:

Modern Air Combat, by Bill Gunston and Mike Spick - Salamander

It covers everything from design issues to aerodynamics, from aircraft history/description to tactics. It's a bit old (1983) but has good concepts

and

Modern Fighter Aircraft by Anthony Thornborough - Patrick Stephens Limited.

Covers tactics and technical issues of modern warfare (mainly avionics and weapons). Well written and very detailed.

Then, if you're looking to particular aircraft there are tons of books, for example the Jane's World Airpower Journals or Jane's "At the controls" series, but that depends on the kind of info you want (and/or the amount needed)

Is it legal???

I.e. which is the difference from downloading from that site and from eMule (apart from the download speed)?

This site is in isreal so I believe their CR/Dist. laws apply.

Anyone check the photography section? ALL the PS CS books :)

is this ok?

Hi Mate.

How much space do you need?

Thanx

Why upload them and risk a lawsuit for copyright infringement when you can upload/download via eMule or with any P2P software? I have found tens of GB of ebooks (squadron signal, lockon, russian magazines... ) with eMule ;)

BTW, if you really like a book, buy it. Ebay has a lot of auctions with books at low prices. (an example: I bought the "Iron Hand" book for just $ 13.00 USD) ;)

Way to go Starlight. Dont think you will be dissapointed, and that is a great price. Just looked at my copy and it says 25 GBPounds, so you got it at about 1/4 price? Mine cost me nothing at all, but on the down side, the library does expect me to return it by 9th Jan :D
