Thanks for the comments, and yeah hehe, 1 F-15 doing all the killing. Well, i've seen more than one movie of SU-27's wasting other fighters, so i thought it was payback time :icon_supe

:D

Next time please at least show some Sukhois at least firing missiles. ;) I miss the story behind the movie. I mean it's not the story of a dogfight or similar, its just "splashes", unrelated to each other, as it seems. But still, video editing of its finest! Just my 2 cents.

Excellent work, anyway. :icon_pray

Aren't there like at least 2 scenes where the SU's fire missiles?? :D

Anyway, i know this movie is just a pile-up of different scenes, which was the point, since it took me around 7-8 hours to create this movie from start-to-finish. I just wanted to feed the community with a new movie, that's all :icon_jook

LOL! I can't believe you can put something so good together so quickly. That's incredible. And rather depressing for those of us who have to fight a little harder to give birth. :-)

You'll have to forgive me, you caught me at a bad time. :-) After trying to give up this movie madness I did return over Xmas to a project I started in 1.02. The mission alone took more than... well, I daren't add up the hours! Not 7 or 8, that's for sure! In fact the only reason I've returned to it is I invested so many hours in the stupid mission I couldn't bear to waste the effort.

Anyway, well done again. There's a real knack to making a "simple" clip movie into something which is far more than just the sum of its parts.

PS Of course there's still no excuse for shooting down so many Sukhois. ;-)

I wonder, do you build entire missions, and then fly it and start recording? I build up segments of something i want in the movie. So if i want a low-flying ground attack scene, i create such a mission just for this purpose, then i move on to other aspects as i see fit. Or whatever the movie requires. For this movie "heat", i had 4 tracks created. I had 2 dogfight tracks, the other 2 were just flying around.

And i also have to mention, i sat in front of the computer for around 7-8 hours straight, i stayed up all night really

I want to do another one, but i dunno what to create next.

must have missed them when I first saw the movie.... *mea culpa*

BTW: Do draw Storyboards before creating movies? Or do you just begin with selecting Track-Recordings right away?

Maybe someone with a great idea can send you his storyboard... I mean maybe a short story like in "holding hands". That short movie tells a story.

For "Heat", i didn't have any story, no preparation, no storyboard...just an idea in my head about something.

First it was going to be a movie about some "F-15 hero" guy, coming in to rescue other pilots that are beeing attacked by those SU-27s.

Was thinking of showing lots of F-15's getting blown outta the sky by those SU-27's, and then this hero F-15 comes in and takes them all down, but as i was recording and started to edit, i found out it was too time consuming for me right there and then, so i just skipped to the part where the dogfight starts.

The movie didn't quite reach my goals, but for such a short movie, it's good enough. IMO anyway.

Due to hard drive failure I lost over 90GB of aviation/flight sim videos and images I had collected (and used to torture my friends with). I had some real collectors' specials in there and not one stupid picture or video clip survived. The total loss rate was over 90%, the only directory that survived completely intact was teh browser cache.

It's time to rebuild. If you have working links for the best Lock on videos (especially Glowing Amraam and LockonSTE series) please let me know.

Never got an answer on this one- How did you get that sweet shot at 1:58 into the vid. Its a flyby past the F15's tail pipe, however it doesn't look like a plain F3 view.

It looks like the unlocked (shift-esc) F2 view attached to the front of another aircraft to me.

My movies have always been based around a single mission, and what you see in the movie is exactly how the mission played out. There are exceptions to that, obviously. Sometimes I just can't get everything I want into one mission. But the majority of the movie is always filmed from one track.

I want to do another one, but i dunno what to create next.

Let's face it, you and LOC are so skilled at using Vegas to polish your ideas that you could make movies about a single aircraft standing still on the tarmac, and it'd still look stunning! :-)

This was achieved using the CTRL-F11 view, i just flew the camera towards the eagle and it happend to fly right in front of the camera. I used this CTRL-F11 view on many occasions in the movie.
