Hello. I have yet to figure out a solution to the problem I have. In the A-10C, I have set the uhf to main, vhf is on, other comms are on, and my VHF set to correct frequency in AM for what I am communicating with (tanker, tower, awacs). The problem is, no matter what I have tried, they don't seem to respond at all. :helpsmilie:

Can you guys help me with this?

If you want to talk to anyone about anything personal, send it to their PM box. Interpersonal drama and ad hominem rebuttal are things that do not belong on a thread viewed by the public.

One thing i have to point out... naming a thread.. "OK, so" is as useful as tits on a bull.

Switch the radio mode switch to T/R

Also you can google DCS A-10 Radio and get plenty of video's

ATC is broken since the last update (well, it's always been broken, but is worse now).

ATC will not reply to requests until after you perform the tasks that you requested.

Yes. I can't get response from ATC, either. Luckly ground crew is alive!!!

Response from ATC is at last not a really big issue, although its kinda gets on everyones nerves. Real problem is a Tanker not responding on rejoin request, as you are sitting in an a10 with 10min Fuel left, 15min from next Airport ^^

if you can hear your voice and the comms are in white, the solution would be to flick the T-tone button to the right and left on the AN/ARC-164 UHF radio, then you will hear the response.

this one:

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Everything works fine here with the latest patch?

I believe the button to actually query the other end (that thing that established comms) got swapped with the T-tone. You should know this UHF controls all comms with UHF, VHF FM and VHF AM. You should press on it so it points left (towards canopy glass) after you've input flight comms (225 or 251) and set mode to main or both not ADF or off, and pressed status button and screen test (which whitens the screen on UHF itself and repeater on center console when pressed).

^^ this I tried and worked in my parked 1.1.1.1 and I believe it might work for latest patch.

I had a same problem until I pressed the "#" or "~" button (if UK/US Keyboard) located next to carriage return. Then I could start speaking to tower...
