Not working since 1.2.6 update

DCS has reverted back to "DCS has stopped working..." since the update last week. I went back and did the CMD thing... -bcdedit /set increaseuserva 3072-

Still no dice. Anyone else having this problem since the update? Or any guesses on how to get it to run again. Thx

I think ED is going to have to stop touting 32bit OS as a minimum requirement... I think the platform has moved beyond it in terms of memory requirements.

Havoc, you could try setting "Scenes" setting in graphics options to LOW - got it working again for me on 32bit Vista.

It does work, but completely kills experience on low scenes. Not very fun flying Huey with no trees. I found out how to revert back to 1.2.5, but that didn't work at all. Stayed at 1.2.6

1.26 is broke for me.1.25 worked ...second install earlier version 1.2 works but after updating to 1.26 nada.Reinstalled 1.24...works...updated to 1.26.....broke. Dcs stopped working....cannot open log file in debrief.

Hope this is fixed soon.

Reverting to 1.2.5 is what I did. It worked for me. I did it a slightly different way than wot I found on the internet. Created a new shortcut from the "Update DCS World" link in the START menu, and edited the new shortcut's properties so that the Target box read:

 

"G:\DCS World\bin\DCS_updater.exe" update 1.2.5

 

...but it'll be different for you depending on your install directory.

 

Like I say, it worked for me, having Scenes on LOW is just too far a compromise!

Had a similar problem, but then i remembered i had a altered export.lua installed for operating LOVP.

Copying back the original export.lua did the trick.

The 64 bit only part has been there since the day DCS World was released on Steam, which was still v1.2.5.

Also, the guys that are having problems,

 

Can you check the System Event viewer under both software and hardware for abnormal Yellow Warning/Red Error Icons, as well as "Dump" events.

The same here .Hi ,need help.After download the update 126 A10C Warthog stop work.I uninstall all DCS modules and DCS world 3 times and still no work.I been on DCS A10C FAQS and go through all the questions and answers and can't find solution.All 5 modules I have working OK only A10C don't work.Microsoft Visual c++ 2010 Redistributable is what I have is this OK?

Please help ( love A10C ) and work OK before.

Blaster, when you uninstall and reinstall- are you removing the folder from "saved games" as well as it will not be touched or changed during repair or install / reinstall.

ENO when uninstall I take all lot from the computer, empty the recycle bin and start all over again. I don't use saved games folder. My saved Games folder never have any Games.

The game automatically creates a "saved games / dcs" folder, in which you will find a variety of files including an important configuration file that is likely causing your problems. Go look in there- you'll find it. Delete it... start the game back up again and report back.

Well. good news..

 

I installed DCS_World_1.2.4.11652_168 and FC3_1.2.4.11652_168 and all is well now.

Playing it as I once did, even on this still good, 32bit windows system. As long as I can create my own scenarios/missions and fly around doing aerobatics.. I'm perfectly happy and satisfied. Thankfully now that I managed to get this running again, I don't feel as violated with some loss of money that I had payed for this simulation.

I will surely upgrade my system to a 64bit one, but not by force, like by dropping all help for us who have older 32bit systems and have always supported the development of this Sim, since the days of the original Lock-On and the many versions and add-ons since.

 

I gotta give special thanks to whom ever was the host to the files I needed on a remote server I just happened to find with Google's help..

 

Since ED doesn't host those files anymore for us who want to back track to an older version of this Sim.. I have the link to those 6 files you need. PM me for the link!
