Havoc25
Well, tried that but didnt work. It's like the process doe not complete itself. Once it finishes trying to update to 1.2.5, it crashes trying to load DCS. Once I close that out, and try to restart DCS, it's still on the 1.2.6 version. Cenobite
I hope this works for me have dropped a lot of frames, also (3930k 4.5 gtx780) way too stuttery for track ir at 30fps. Was running maxed at 45fps in all cases pre patch. Real shame if I have to put this awesome game away again.

Rongor
Didn't know that 1.2.6 doesn't work on 32-bit. You can get the 1.2.6 Huey module here.

ScottishMartialArts
Yeah, being able to revert to 1.2.5 would be great. 1.2.6 is effectively broken for me to the point that I've gone back to pre-DCS World BS2 and A-10C.
Cdr.Instigator
DCS 1.2.4 I hadn't updated to 1.2.6 because the previous time I did this, my game would not run.. Well. 2 night ago I updated and now, my game crashes after selecting instant fly.. Anyone know where I could get an older version of DCS either 1.2.4 or 1.2.5 ? FLANKERATOR
Can anyone confirm success at rolling DCS back to 1.2.4 please? 1.2.6 keeps crashing and 1.2.5 was very unstable MP wise... Radar Rider
FLANKERATOR don't know, I'm downloading 1.2.5 using CMD console without problem. For this command: Type: CD Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bin\ I open properties of DCS desktop icon, and write the route exactly as I see there couse I don't install DCS in program files. Radar Rider
Ok, from fresh 1.2.6 install I reverted to 1.2.5 v.17086 Don't remember if this was the last patch for 1.2.
Radar Rider
Now neither 1.2.5 neither 1.2.6 can fly. Something "broken" when I install 1.2.6 for the first time. Neither Full Screen or Windowed Mode. Great!!!!! Now is like I have a simulator less in my bag. I see the icon, but can't do anything with it :( Maybe a new patch for 1.2.6??? But only if ED is doing something to fix all these problems that 1.2.6 has created. No oficial words for now. Is like we are not important actually. Well, I prefer that ED fix it than to buy a new power supply and a new GPU and more ram. Too much money for me now. I'm back to Falcon BMS... FLANKERATOR
Ok, from fresh 1.2.6 install I reverted to 1.2.5 v.17086 Don't remember if this was the last patch for 1.2.5 Thanks mate. This is the problem I'm facing as well. I think it would be fair to have a sticky somewhere, listing previous versions and patches in a chronological order so anybody could go from a fresh install to any specific version/fix. Going backwards doesn't seem to work perfectly... SkateZilla
If you 1.2.5 Ran Fine, then you updated and it stopped, then you reverted and it still doesnt run, the rollback commands in the update work fine. You can update to a specific Version if you want. ie the last version of DCS 1.2.5, I think was: DCS_Updater.exe update 1.2.5.16508 If your Still having issues, Only option left is to Uninstall, and re-install. if that doesnt work, then something with your system is amiss, either Windows or Hardware wise. roadrabbit
I've also written elsewhere, but Skatezilla's remedy worked for me: Start Type CMD Open Command Prompt. Fourpoints37
You can revert back to 1.2.5 I have 32 bit Vista and had the same problem, it won't load mission! GRRRR!! I found this post (below) and tried what he said, and it WORKED!!! I was so happy to have my DCS working again. But,(there's always a but), I had to add one thing. On the end of 1.2.5 , you must add .16508 so it reads 1.2.5.16508. It will make sense when you read the post. Hope this helps everyone who reads. Many thanks to 'Skatezilla' for posting. PalpableGlint2
unfortunately as a Steam user, no joy. the files don't exist (because, Steam), and it isn't stored to the C: drive, except the ones that installed themselves there (non-core files). I don't even know if I want to take the time to revert a new install from a third party source, or wait it out for a newer update, as it is unplayable. and I came here from Flight. had a nice time there, until Microsoft messed up and practically got rid of all their games for most people. fortunately I could reinstall, but there isn't much left of it. I guess I'm gonna be stuck in Hawaii for a while. EDIT: there could be an alternative - Windows has an inherent feature now where you can restore files from a restore point, rather than doing a revert to restore point for the whole computer. haven't tried it yet, but it is theoreticlaly promising since Steam doesn't seem to have this feature, and the file seems to be excluded.
