I remember that day...I was sitting at my computer getting ready to go to work. The phone rang and it was my supervisor telling me to get to work fast he told me what happened and I was out the door. Once I got to work, we were glued to the TV watching everything unfold. Shortly after that we got the order to put our jets on alert....I was stationed in Alaska at the time and we had F-16's. It was a sad day seeing what happened, I will never forget where I was when it happened.

Even though I was young and I vaguely remember it, 9/11 affected me quite a bit. I hope I will be able to fly as a Military aviator in the future, and I will be more than happy to serve this great nation that I love so dearly and protect her people from any harm. RIP everyone who died and condolences to everyone who knew a victim of the attacks. Let us never forget those who died, let us forever remember who they are!

A very sad day, terrible for those who had loved ones snatched away so quickly. As a fireman I can appreciate the bravery shown by all the firefighters involved on that day. Rest in peace.

fyi for the ones that didnt catch it in the first post i also served.

 

i remember that morning i saw the news report on cnn for a moment i thought it was a what if documentary type show.

 

cause i thought this cant be real cant be happening but it was all i remember was shock and sorrow for the people there and how touching it was that nothing else mattered , not race , creed , not color , but humanity and strength in unity and the bond of the people made me shed a tear lets not forget this also.
