zorlac Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 I'd love to know who got the A2A Maverick kill, and the A2G AIM9 kill! for the maverick kill, take a look at the "self kills" page :)
zorlac Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 If I had to guess I would say that the a2a mav kill was actually an a2g kill (ie: someone shot the mav at a plane on the ground). Now the AIM-9 a2g kill, that's a weird one!! A2A Maverick was a "self kill". A2G AIM-9 was: BLUE "1st_FIS_Mav"(F-15C) kill vehicle RED "UAZ-469" by AIM-9M
zorlac Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 Were these stats complied by the same utility that the Dreyou server used? nope, custom written perl code And is it still available for download? no, and I wouldnt want anyone laughing at the code anyway :) The code is not nice or pretty.....
ARM505 Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 Well, it works. Thats got to count for something!
Pilotasso Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 Sometimes stats can ruin a game though.. gotta be careful to keep rewards for such things as low as possible... or no rewards... then it just becomes bragging rights.. But I could go in there and kill 30 people that can hardly take off.. damn stats :p I dont think this is going to happen. What may hapen is that the people who got 1 or 2 kills and no losses will probably fail to show up so soon as long as they can see themselves on top of the table. Another thing is that it will add a real fear of being killed. There might be alot less bravados and kamikaze pilots once they know their records are being noted. this is a realy good thing since it might get a bit more realistic on how people decide to engage or not. .
Kula66 Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 Just flown a couple of missions on 504 and noticed what may be a scoring bug. If you record a track, and get shot down once, it shows as 2 losses! How does this log on the server? As one or 2? I was flying as Venom99 at about 18:45GMT

Maybe this is going to decrease friendly kills too. And I hope they are not considered as valid kills. I was flying as Venom99 at about 18:45GMT I cant see this "double kill" you talk of: Death by normal kill Thu Dec 22 21:36:52 2005 - 01/07:55:55 RED "Dijabola"(Su-33) kill BLUE "Venom99"(F-15C) by R-27EM (AA-10C) Fri Dec 30 20:48:16 2005 - 01/12:41:00 RED "191_84"(Su-33) kill BLUE "Venom99"(F-15C) by R-27EM (AA-10C) Fri Dec 30 20:54:45 2005 - 01/12:47:40 RED "191_84"(Su-33) kill BLUE "Venom99"(F-15C) by R-27EM (AA-10C) Thu Jan 12 21:14:00 2006 - 01/13:19:43 RED "strikemax"(Su-27) kill BLUE "Venom99"(F-15C) by R-27ET (AA-10D) Sun Jan 22 15:09:43 2006 - 01/13:45:51 RED "(504)beaker"(Su-27) kill BLUE "Venom99"(F-15C) by R-27ER (AA-10C) Sun Jan 22 15:28:28 2006 - 01/14:04:35 RED "(504)beaker"(Su-27) kill BLUE "Venom99"(F-15C) by R-27ET (AA-10D) Sun Jan 22 18:46:57 2006 - 01/12:14:15 RED "Breakshot"(Su-27) kill BLUE "Venom99"(F-15C) by R-27ER (AA-10C) Death by Team Kill Thu Jan 12 21:26:00 2006 - 01/13:31:31 BLUE "AW-Eaglebow"(MiG-29S) kill BLUE "Venom99"(F-15C) by R-77 (AA-12) 7 deaths, one additional death by team kill.... where are you seeing this "double kill" you mention?
zorlac Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 Maybe this is going to decrease friendly kills too. And I hope they are not considered as valid kills. Team kills are not counted in per-pilot "normal kill" totals... well, as far as i can remember :) I`ll double check tomorrow when i get back into the office.
Kula66 Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 Thanks for checking guys ... On the score sheet in-game ... when you press ` Had me down as shotdown twice for one flight EDIT: I've flown twice on the server ... and recorded both missions. And when I was shoht down both times the kill loss score is the same - 2
504 Wolverine Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 Its a Lock-On thing. Even when you land and exit to sort your loadout it registers it as a death. [/url]
zorlac Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 ... unlike my stats, which only registers real kills, by real players.
Kula66 Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 Ahh ... that makes sense Wolverine ... thanks guys!
Kevlon Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 now... how to figgure out how to top the a2g stats flying the su 27... hmm. :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
VapoR Posted January 23, 2006 Author Posted January 23, 2006 LOL I'm still trying to catch SL.PAK to get at the top of the a2g kill boards!! I wish ED would put in the ability to export deaths by AI, be it aircraft or ground units. That way we could sort the a2g stuff by a kills/deaths ratio.
Guest EVIL-SCOTSMAN Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 stats is a good thing, but its open for abuse, as the name isnt an account like say bf2, so i could join the server, and pretend to be someone who is on the stat list and who has the uber highest of kills, and then proceed to tk every motherfuxer in sight thus reducing them to looking like a nub, unless it was someone we all knew and were fairly certain that they just suddenly didnt wake up retarded one morning and decided that his team mates were opfor. :p rest assured, some one will do it, just look ayt all the lope happy nubs that we see on servers or read about on the forums. You ban them or catch them cheating, then they are most likely to do shit like that. its a shame, but its life.
S77th-GOYA Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Are you going to add any filters to the data? Such as eliminating everyone who has less than x kills/deaths. Or the ability to sort by name or plane flown or total kills. It's very nice the way it is, but it could be much more.
Harven Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Yay.. I'm on the boared... 2 A2G kills... ahaha :p

There are already stats for each aircraft, and what every individual pilot has flown when he has made a kill or got shot down.. Or am i missing the point here?:) 504th CO http://www.vvs504.co.uk
Weta43 Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 If you're that interested in sorts, filters etc. copy & paste into Excel - sorts fine - just tried it. Cheers.

LOL I know EXACTLY what you mean my friend but you have to work your way up just like me. Maybe except due to the fact that my perfomance have been recorded that many sessions with my suicidal tactics without my knowelege. Its going to be HARD to climb the ladder, but it will be a fascinating challenge catching up with 44th_Eagle. Your still in very good shape to recover. All you need to do is to keep killing 11 nill scores like I have seen you do. Once those single perfect kill lamers ;) dare to show up more times, they are going to contribute with a more statistical representative chart. ;) .
Vosxod Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 LOL I killed myself with Maverick! http://www.syn-ack.com/vvs504/stats/vvs504-airselfkill.shtml
JaBoG32_Chrissi Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Wow, that's cool! A few months ago I also tried to develop a (php-) Script, that retrieves server logfile data and then stores this information in a mySQL database. My aim was a script with installation process, so that it can easily be installed by any server admin. However, things got too complex so I gave up... lol ;) So: Hats off, Zorlac - You've really done a great job! Perhaps I will start again.... @ zorlac: If you want, we could combine forces and develop such a script together... however, i don't know much about perl... only php at the moment. ;) Kind regards, JaBoG32_Chrissi
