huntsman Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Have just downloaded an F18 Mod and pasted the files into DCS world/Mods/Aircraft as directed. Now all of my original aircraft A10, Mustang, UH1, Ka 50 and Mi 8 have all disappeared from the selection menu. Module manager also is empty. Any clues on how to recover the situation please.
luckybob9 Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Probably not much can be done here since it is a mod and the only person who actually knows what it does fully are the authors. I would try contacting them Nevada map contributer EDM Modeling tools FAQ: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1418067&postcount=1 Seo libh a chairde is chanadh liom. huntsman Posted October 17, 2013 Author Posted October 17, 2013 Many thanks for the quick reply. I have looked in that directory and can only see the following executables run and unins000, not a repair DCS world in sight. I have DCS world 1.2.6.18933 installed on a windows 8 OS.
ED Team NineLine Posted October 17, 2013 ED Team Posted October 17, 2013 You can run it like this: "C:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\DCS World\bin\DCS_updater.exe" repair Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**

huntsman Posted October 17, 2013 Author Posted October 17, 2013 (edited) Once again many thanks. Have just tried that all it looks to do is run launcher.exe and fires up DCS world. If all else fails will an uninstall/install of DCS world sort the problem, but will I loose all the aircraft I have bought from DCS? Have made a note of all serial numbers for each module. Found the repair option in win 8. Ran the repair. auto installed downloaded content and opened DCS world. Still no visible a/c. Edited October 17, 2013 by huntsman

It sounds like you just overwrote your aircraft folder, you wont loose anything reinstalling... or you shouldnt Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**

luckybob9 Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 it almost sounds like it was made for a version before the module manager was introduced and it somehow blew out all other aircraft folders Nevada map contributer EDM Modeling tools FAQ: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1418067&postcount=1 Seo libh a chairde is chanadh liom.
