DCS World TARGET profile for TM Cougar and Warthog + MFDs

Is this project dead?  Has Home Fries abandoned us?  Sure be a shame if so.  Hope he's ok.  Anyone heard?

I hope also . I see last time HomeFries has visited this site was mid October.
I assume he has others preoccupations. Or may be he's developing CTS 3.0 ? Let's hope.
I'd need furiously profiles for the F-4 Phantom & Mirage F1 I have bought this year.
Without CTS, I must admit I'm quite lost and I have not really the motivation and competencies to build my own profiles, that would be far less good as the ones HomeFries develop.

I hope you're right Oiz0.  Hope he's ok.  He has been so dedicated to CTS.  Strange for him to just drop out.  Me being a glass is half empty kinda guy, I fear the worst.

 

Selfishly, I also am quite dependent on CTS.  Would love a profile for the F-4.  Looks as if we may be on our own though.  Hopefully, all is good with HF and he'll pop up one day soon.  Fingers crossed guys.

I'm using a DirectX profile from CTS for a F-4. If you need any help with setting it up, PM me and I'll help if I can.

I haven't played for a long time and I tried today to load CTS but I had this. I tried to uninstall + delete everything, reinstall but same issue. Could you help ?

Hi Everyone,

I apologize for being radio silent for a while.  My day job has been crazy, and I've had other things going on as well.  Nothing bad, I assure you, but things are certainly keeping me on my toes.

I just wanted to drop in and say that I've hit the stack limit in TARGET for DCS, so there won't be any more modules introduced in CTS version 2.  I may be able to implement fixes in this version, but unfortunately nothing that will require additional code.

I have a proof of concept for version 3 that uses the DX120 framework, which will significantly reduce the number of keystroke substitutions (and by extension the stack size of the script).  I've mentioned this before, but implementing this will not just take time, but it will take large chunks of contiguous time because it's a fundamental change in how profiles are approached.  I'd also like to implement the F-16 throttle and button suite, and suddenly 120 DX buttons doesn't seem like a whole lot .  Anyway, Version 3 will take some time not only for the framework shift, but because I'll need to migrate profiles individually.  I can start with betas and rapid prototyping with the more popular modules, but I'll still need to migrate and baseline the shared routines.  Bottom line: none of this will happen until at least June, and then I'm hoping that my schedule slows down for the summer.

I haven't really had time to evaluate changes to controllers with patches, so if you find that a patch breaks a profile, please post here or PM me.  I'd like to find time to at least fix bugs.

Please send me your DCS_World.tmc file so I may properly evaluate this.

Thank you for your quick answer and your amazing profile. Looking forward for the next version..even if we need to wait, it isn't an issue as it is so good.
