Hi,

One thing (probably the only one) i find very annoying in DCS, is the camera FOV decreasing when entering plane.

And no way to skip it...even pressing my default view button doesn't stop it.

Starting cold on deck, it's ok, but starting in the air close to action is very annoying!

Anyway to delete this camera backward mouvment?

I'd like to enter my plane directly with my FOV settings (using PeterP neck mod).

Some say it's there to help people with unconventional monitor aspect ratios, but I don't understand how it could possibly help them, or be necessary/useful for any other reason. If there needs to be such an adjustment, it should happen "behind the scenes," during the loading screen.

And even so the game knows already what aspect ratio you are playing in, if it really for some obscure reason would help someone (which I highly doubt) then only do it for those resolutions so that people with sane resolutions don't have to live with crap like this.

I am angry about video game cameras dammit

I like this feature. In the mustang, you can practically dogfight while seeing all gauges without zooming in and out (your trackIR_Z axis does that for you).

However, I'd like to ask ED to make the zoom out on cockpit entry a setting bar in DCSW. That way, you can CONTROL it.

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Was just talking about the very first 5 seconds of a flight where the camera zoom backward.

Perso i can't fly with full FOV out, and i don't like to see all gauges at once (first because it's unrealistic view, second because with my high reso i just can't read them, they are too small)

I find it annoying because i couldn't stop the process. But as someone said above, i'll try to press my zoom button to stop it...didn't know it can work.

I'd be curious to know why the devs implemented this weird starting feature!
