ED Team NineLine Posted February 27, 2014 ED Team Share Posted February 27, 2014 Just getting into it, so not a lot to say right now, but initially the stick feels nice and solid, I dont get the plastic feel that someone mentioned, it feels nice and tight for sure, really only flew the P-51 for a bit, and coming from a very low end stick I will have to get the feel for it again, but I can already tell you its a huge step up for me. I had some luck setting it to a Directional Axis and then setting the different directions to the ,./; keys, but I havent been able to get it smooth enough to use it yet. Higgi91
For anyone struggling with the mouse nipple, hope this helps maybe? Just right click the mouse X+Y in the profiler and select the corresponding thing. Then enable the profile.

txmtb
Yeah, I had no trouble with that, but making it work with the HOTAS Slew commands is proving trickier... got something close but not there yet. Don't own one, yet, but the software looks similar to the old programming software. I use the mouse nipple on the X52 Pro by assigning it to bands in software, 0-15%, 15-85%, and 85-100%. Then assign the corresponding 0-15 or 85-100 band with the corresponding slew keystroke. Mouse X 0-15% = , = Slew Left Mouse X 85-100% = . = Slew Right Mouse Y 0-15% = ; = Slew Up Mouse Y 85-100% = . = Slew Down This equates to: Forward moves cursor right Back moves cursor left Up moves cursor up Down moves cursor down Win 10 64 Pro, MSI Z390 I7-9700K @5ghz Kraken Z63, 32Gb Corsair Dominator, MSI RTX-2070, 1TB NVME 2TB SSD's, TM Warthog, Pro Rudders, OpenTrack w/ IR Clip
ED Team NineLine Posted February 27, 2014 ED Team Share Posted February 27, 2014 (edited) Thats good to know, I was going to mess with bands tonight. I'll give that a try as well. I really think I have a defective unit. However mad catz doesn't want to RMA it because its such a new product...? ugh.
ED Team NineLine Posted February 27, 2014 ED Team Share Posted February 27, 2014 Are they thinking its an issue in the software then? Can you show your settings and maybe a small vid of what its doing and I can try and compare tonight? When I do as you do in that video, it works but it's SUPER inconsistent and sporadic. Can you show your settings and maybe a small vid of what its doing and I can try and compare tonight? They do think it's a software issue. I am torn on it; it works half the time. But after seeing the other video higgins posted I do think it's a hardware problem. Yes I can. And I would very much appreciate that. Stand by! ED Team NineLine Posted February 28, 2014 ED Team Share Posted February 28, 2014 here's a video of mine... As far as the slew commands go, that is what it should do as you have it programmed to enter those key strokes. So when you test you will see it input those characters. As for the mouse controls, mine seem to work fine, up down, side to side, although I didnt crank the sensitivity all the way up, mine was set the same. Edit: Even with sensitivities cranks, seems to work ok. Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**

I could get them to work in game, I had the macro box checked when I set the key, dont know if I mentioned that, playing with the delay time I could get it to work, but it was choppy, I havent had time to try bands tonight though. Bodo
I was really hoping for some better success stories with this product. I am interested in following how you guys get on, another concern is how light the controller is. For the money you'd expect either top notch components or X52 standards with a nice, heavy, bulkier construct and added switches, features. Anyway , I hope you all get your issues sorted but I'm kinda please I held back buying now. Doesn't fill me with confidence. Maybe it's best to just spend on a Warthog or Black Mamba. If these stories of temperemental behaviour and quality issues have substance it's a real shame that Mad Catz haven't captialised and made one of those products that really impress and turn the market upside down. Wonder if the potential of a 'Pro' version is indeed gonna be what they decide to do. ED Team NineLine Posted February 28, 2014 ED Team Share Posted February 28, 2014 To be totally honest I havent had any real issues so far, the stick is solid, feel great flying, of course what I had before was pretty cheap, but all in all its a great stick so far, and well worth the money, as for the mouse nipple issue, I think that either might be a software issue than needs fixing, or just my lack of experience setting up a profile like this. 4c Hajduk Veljko
For the money you'd expect either top notch components ... 200 bucks is not much money. If you can make a HOTAS that is much better then Saitek, for the same money, I'll buy it right away. aaron886
Saitek could probably make a great joystick if they would get away from that awful "spring-and-plate" design that they use for tension. Horrible. Compared to the HOTAS Warthog there's no doubt that this thing is cost effective, but even at 200 bucks it could probably have more parts made from resin or metal. (Would prefer cast resin.)
