Currently using the thermalrite silver arrow. It is an incredible air cooler. Have had my system to 5.2 Ghz stable with it. But looking to clean up the inside of my case. The Thermalrite is big and heavy. Just looking for thoughts and opinions on the Corsair H100i.

Also does anyone think it's possible to use the exsisting backplate from the silver arrow for the H100i. If not I would need to remove the MB from the case to install the H100i.

My current specs are in the spoiler.

H110 would be better, but the 100i is OK,

my only issue with it when using it in builds was issues with Corsair Link. Software.

I'm getting H100i as well, sometime next month.

It should fit Prodigy case nicely and my CPU cries for water cooling - it's stable as a rock @4.2 and needs only 1.1 Vcore on, don't laugh, Intel stock cooler! I guess I got a good silicon. Temps are around 75 on hottest core in Aida64 stress test which is nothing for Haswell.

So I'll try 4.6 and up (hopefully) with H100i ...

At stock CPU clock I idle at ~30C and have only peaked to 66C during a burn test. During gaming I have never seen it more than 55C. I use Arctic Silver 5 for thermal.

As for the H100i itself, I don't think you will be able to use your existing back-plate because of the special screws supplied for mounting. Mine was a nightmare to put in because of just a millimeter of clearance thanks to the bad radiator support design with my case and the size of my ram. Overall I like it though and didn't have any problems with it. If you run into the known Corsair Link problem, just download the new firmware off Corsair's site and it should fix it.

For what its worth: I'm cooling a i5 3570K (4.2 GHz) with a H100 in a Corsair C70 case. Works like a charm! Haven't had any issues. The 'i' version had some initial problems but I think its safe to buy one now.

could always just use the link software to set the fans to a suitable level, then uninstall the link software... stopping that half second blip

Just built my new rig. Still waiting for my graphic card and SSD.

I opted for Corsair H100i, for CPU cooling, my first water-cooler actually, and I must say I'm very impressed. Initial impressions are very positive. Having about 23-24 degrees Celsius in my apartment, when iddle CPU (i4770k, stock clocks) heats up to 27-30 :)

For sure I need to check it under load but that's already impressive!

Hi,

I bought it last week as well.

All I can say is : this Corsair H100i ROCKS !

With Notcuas F12 it is quite silent.

The corsair Link software is excellent, still somewhat buggy but it is promising.

Also it keep my old i7 920 (stepping C0!) under 75C° @ 4.0GHz/1.35Vcore
