I have 2 questions regarding UH 1 sim...posted here because it's about helicopters and didn't know where to post it... 1.After 1.2.7. update it's says flares are available on UH 1. How are those flares deployed? (I can't find the assigned key for this in the command menu) 2. UH 1 has a hook under belly for cargo. I noticed some key assigned for this hook in command menu. It is possible to actually lift a visible cargo attached to that hook? If so, how can you do it? Thanks in advance for any advice!

WolfK33 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I got a question too and as I´m not sure where it should go I´ll just ask here: I can assign none of the new flare functions to my TM Warthog, neither the throttle nor the stick. It works fine for other devices like the TM MFD I have but in the Warthog´s column the fields for flare functions are greyed out. What could be wrong there ? I did delete the control assignment files after updating. Thank you, Wolf

Never did manage to figure it out. -MadCat- Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Prior to 1.2.7, detelting the entire category for a given controller made all the "grayed out" commands assignable for that controller too. This however doesn't seem to work anymore, as I experienced yesterday too. I needed to take the commands in question out of the keyboard.lua, and place it in the joystick.lua. My Hueys are always loaded with flares - unless I choose a slick by unchecking "Hardpoint racks". (actually, I can load flares, but there are no flare dispensers then ... which is a bit odd on its own)
Nealius Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 It looks like that was a bug I was having. When I don't run DCS in administrator mode the missions refuse to save loadouts and flare quantity defaults to 0. Now that I am running in admin mode the loadouts are saved and flare quantity defaults to 60.
JMasterFlash Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 In the beta at least, if you are playing a mission that was created pre 1.2.7 they are empty and require loading. If you create a new mission they come loaded.
Slippery Pete Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Is it not possible to independently get rid of the flare dispensers, but keep everything else? I'd like a gunship, but no flares on the tail.
