Thanks for your patience guys. Version 13 is now published as a release on git. https://github.com/Fargo007/TROOPS-IN-CONTACT/releases Significant changes include: Sounds are played directly on the radio in the mission instead of via srs_stts. You can still modify it easily to do that but I'm not going to support both moving forward. Target markings now include Tracers (with and without LoS), Laser (configurable codes), and marking of the friendlies with an IR strobe for night/NVG engagements. That is awesome and you're gonna love it. Cleanup routine totally reworked. The original README.md on the main branch page has been updated. The names of the assets have changed as well to avoid conflicts and render them consistent. Thanks as always for your interest and feedback. -
Hello, Can ED follow the example of 3rd parties such as Aerges and HeatBlur please, and add options for FFB tuning? Particularly separate force/strength options for pitch and roll would be very welcome. With the default settings, (perceived) roll strength is too high compared to pitch. I personally prefer to keep roll forces at 50% compared to pitch (at 100%). Thanks!

I think this hit anything I could add to the topic... Just give MV the ability to open up the Encrypted files, giving us slop and telling us to be happy aint gonna cut it, unless they want a repeat of the F-5 Competition where no one showed up

Speedbrake is automatically retracted if >540kts airspeed (this also means you cannot extend it while above that speed) or if you have landing gear down, or if you have centerline fuel tank loaded. (ED MiG-29A manual pg57 last paragraph explains)

Probably something silly, but I bound the speed brake in controls, but it does nothing. I don't see a speed brake extending. Am I missing something?

I forgot to mention, we were using the FRIEND-FOE switch in the default FOE postion. I'm trying to replicate the issue right now on singleplayer and on caucasus and it seems like it is working fine, even the VS locks targets now. I used the same targets as on the MP mission we flown (su25 of enemy coalition) and the same setting of FRIEND-FOE switch (FOE). Could the map or the fact that it was MP cause the issues? I and the person hosting the servers didnt have any mods installed.

I'll preface this post by first saying nice mod ED she looks great! However, no matter how many times I've tried, and even during the cold start tutorial, the AFCS system fails and I get a caution after the bit test. It's okay on a hot start, but I cannot get the system to work on a cold start, I use a Moza AB9 FFB base and stick, and at first I thought that the sticks' feedback was upsetting the position of the stick in the cockpit during the bit, but I get the same results even if I disconnect the Moza stick, so at the moment a hot start is my only option. However a further issue then manifests that even though I've got the trim controls mapped correctly and I can see the trim hat move in sim, the trim controls have no effect on the aircraft in flight and I end up having to wrestle with the Moza stick constantly. Has anyone else encountered similar issues.

I had a similar problem, but I don't own a MiG-29A. Try renaming the DCS folder in your saved games; that helped me. Then I dragged the aircraft control settings: \Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input -
Mk-20/CBU-99. Improved bombsight accuracy. Please note that using FMU-140 in low-altitude horizontal flight bombing runs will lead to poor accuracy - in these cases Mk 339 fuze must be used. FMU-140 should provide acceptable accuracy in dive bombing runs and, in specific conditions, in horizontal flight bombing runs (function altitude set to ca. 1/3 of release altitude and specific airspeed at release, e.g. function altitude - 3 kft, release altitude - 10 kft, TAS - 580 kts) Mk-20/CBU-99. Fixed Mk 339 fuze function delay being counted down after arming instead of after release Thanks ED for this. I am a cluster bomb fanatic. I've been testing and retesting cluster bombs in DCS, for their effects, best release and function parameters and so on. Regarding the Mk-20s and CBU-99s, my tests always showed that both bombs always worked very well with the Mk 339 fuzes. Always very effective. And, if you use the right time of function, you can get pretty good results. And if the default settings were used, the bombs were always very effective at 1,000 feet AGL in level flight. But, if using the FMU-140, the bombs were always ineffective. It didn't matter the profile. Thank you for addressing the issue and telling us how to properly set and use them in game. Сделал скрины, как бы я их разместил исходя из того, как направлены их лучи. Подскажите, как их поставить грамотно? Не знал, что такое существует в реале и естественно никогда не видел. Мне кажется, так, как я их поставил, очень опасно.) Но по лучам, которые выходят из них, так точнее всего. Или их надо ставить чуть левее-правее на траве за торцом ВПП?

Yeah thnx for the reply @Wags. Like @MAXsenna proposes seems a way more pilot friendlier way of enabling it through the rearm/refuel window ingame. Or a second option like the IR exhaust system on the Mi24 through the groundcrew radio command menu. Thnx in advance

I totally agree, it will make the map much more attractive. Imagine they will go for Cold War Germany Cities, it will massively increase the immersion. Things need to come alive and give you the feeling you want to walk through it and explore every alley.

What are you babbling about? The plane remains damaged at spawn in, end of story. Ask the ground crew to repair. If 170 secs pops up it's busted, plain and simple. The landing gear remains broken, therefore what's stated in the patch notes is blatantly incorrect. This thread is about taxiing and the problem with taxiing remains. We have to be united in our conclusions people. -

Hello. Is HUD size adjustable ? It is kinda too small for me. Harder to see small numbers. In comparison, HDD is perfect with size.
