  2. Hi, we are getting to the end, the hook of the basket has been further improved and fixed on the A.I. planes. We hope to give them very soon... except for any bad surprises.E&P
  3. Also with the new updates, the misaligned rigging of pedals (which is reflective of real aircraft as per info provided then) is also gone. Can someone else also confirm this? Cheers,
  4. Yeah Su-25A is what I want too
  5. Virtual Desktop needs to connect to your PC via the streamer app. I'm not quite sure of your topology or how you ran DCS without VD connection to your PC. This is how i run mine: I have my AXE5400 on the wall a few feet from me broadcasting only WiFi 6. That router is running as a router, not an access point. It connects via cable to my house network and sees it as the WAN. My Quest 3 then connects to the WiFi 6. That keeps it and the PC on its own network. I have tried ICS with a previous setup and it ran about as well as you described. If you have to run the PC on WiFi, connect your AXE5400 as a router hardwired to your network, then connect your PC and HMD to the WiFi 6. Dont allow any other devices on that network. Forget ICS, it's not good for gaming.
  6. Hi, how can I make the F-16's HUD appear a little more purple and also reflect the HUD projector? Thanks and best regards.
  7. Luckily the Mosquito requires only few rudder trim adjustments during flight. Rules of thumb: 1. Slow speed + high boost (e.g., takeff and climb) = rudder trim at the “T” on the dial. 2. High speed + boost > +10 = rudder trim at the bottom corner of the “neutral triangle”. There are other situations, but these are the main 2 where I immediately trim quick & blind, and check the ball later.

  9. Thank you very much, what you are discribing is exactly what i mean. I also fly in VR and the very flat UFC and the flat screw heads are very noticable. And because the F/A-18 is the most versatile plane in DCS I fly it the most. And all the time i m looking around in the cockpit of the F-18 i see how it is lacking compared to the A-10C II.
  10. The whole point of the simulation is to simulate RL and as you can see ZULU is used IRL. You are free to use the game however you want and if you want to use non-standard time that's your problem and yes, you'll have to change the clock every mission. You can also wish for such option in ME here: https://forum.dcs.world/forum/207-dcs-core-wish-list/ Another cool option - use Normandy or Channel map. It won't be a problem there
  11. Landing after a combat mission is the exception… The Mosquito is a flak magnet - I swear those AAA tracers curve in the air to hit me. The best and most fun bombing method is spot the target outside of AAA range, then drop as fast & low as you dare (under tree height) and shoot the bomb at the target from a close range. I say “shoot” because from such a low altitude the bomb does not develop much vertical speed and is basically tossed forwards like a rocket - I use the bottom of the reticule circle to aim. Needless to say, a delayed fuse is mandatory.
  12. I have found the best results with DLSS quality preset K. QVFR centre resolution set to equivalent of about 5000 pixels with peripheral about half native. This gives a really sharp image with no ghosting and good AA.
  13. Could someone make a cinematic video of the F-14B and F-18C with the song 'Children of the Sea' by Black Sabbath?
  14. Your game is modded. Try with clean profile.
  15. Thanks for the replies folks, very helpful indeed. I have been pushing Visible Range, preload radius and LOD up to near max. I might back those off for a bit of headroom. I've settled on MSAAx4 with about 50% sharpening, at native Res this is providing a nice image. 72hz with quad views which is solid on the whole, bar the very start of the campaigns in The Big Show, drops to about 65hz. Still early days and lots to learn and tweak but very happy so far. Thanks again I now need to be looking at upgrading my old thrustmaster joystick, the slider is jumping all over. Being left handed and only room on the left side of my rig is restrictive. But this new Sol-R 1 Flightstick might fit the bill. 4090, 7800x3d, 64gig ddr5.
  16. Today
  17. I couldn't care less what they use in real life, ZULU time is useless in the simulation. I can adjust the clock myself every time, ok, but why would I need that one step more during start up. At least they could make an option in Special Options or in mission creator to choose between the mission time on the clock and whatever the time they use in real life.
  18. Люди же когда в секту попадают, их сразу с порога предупреждают: "Добро пожаловать в секту!". Ещё это можно назвать разновидностью коллекционирования. Коллекционирование чего бы то ни было тоже всегда дорогое удовольствие.
  19. Hey everyone, I have a quick question and I need your help, since here seem to be some pros for this topic: I don't fly in VR, but with TrackIR, exporting the MFDs of the Apache/Warthog to 2 separate MFDs with screens and for about two weeks now I've had the problem that DCS stutters as soon as I activate the video feed (regardless of whether it's the TADS of the Apache or the video image from the TGP of the Hog) in the MFD screen. As soon as I turn my head then, stuttering begins. If I turn the video feed off, everything goes back to normal and is smooth again. It's extremely annoying. I've already done the following: repaired DCS, deactivated mods that I don't need, reduced the mouse polling rate, changed the graphics card driver, then completely reinstalled DCS, rearranged the monitors, and adjusted the Lua file for exporting. Unfortunately, none of this helped. The MFDs are connected directly to the graphics card via HDMI. Most input devices are connected directly to the PC via USB. I don't know what to do anymore. Everything worked fine before.... I'm grateful for any suggestion. Thank you all.
  20. I suspect the one-engine safety speeds in that manual excerpt are with the dead engine un-feathered (and probably being the port side engine). I don’t have the manual to check the context right now. With a feathered engine you can fly significantly slower. Safety speeds with an un-feathered engine is what you want to achieve asap after takeoff, when there will not be sufficient time and altitude to loose till feathering is achieved (if it works at all). Once feathered, speed can be reduced (1-engine climb). What I do with the Mosquito is to climb very flat after lift-off and with a high boost to accelerate - when I hit “safety speed” (190–200) I use it to “zoom” and let it drop to best-climb speed, which would be around 160 mph or so. At that point should an engine crap out I can maintain control at reduced boost while gently descending till the dead engine is feathered, or I picked up enough speed for full asymmetrical power (which should be achievable by the altitude I zoomed up from).
  21. Make sure to turn off the historical filter or enter an appropriate date, then you should find it just like in the picture above.
  24. Offset mode utilitizes the INS data, so your speed and altitude is not of a concern as long as it matches the speed and altitude you used when computing the drag coefficient right at the moment of release. But yeah, this mode is more meant for attacking perhaps a factory facility or something - and ofc with multiple other F-4 in trail Same here, also based on INS. So you just need to ensure your profile at release matches the data you used during planning or the weapons ballistics will be off. By the way, you do not need to visually see the target as long as you have another way of determining you are right above the IP. So if its a landmark or you use your TACAN or a waypoint (ofc a bit less accurate) you can also use laydown mode without seeing the target. The technique with depressing the sight and pressing the button once it aligns with the target is very neat but optional - it is just one of many ways how you would know that you are right above the IP. Should be, yes. Maybe someone else from the team can provide you some details on it. Yes. Essentially all bombing modes in the F4 are fully implemented. There are currently no known bugs with them. (The bombing tool has some known bugs though, but not the systems in the aircraft). Worth noting that a lot of the loft modes are meant for nuclear delivery and hence do not need to be very precise. Since they are all timer based and not using the INS you indeed need to fly the profile accurately all the way.
  25. Agreed, one of the best campaigns in DCS. Very realistic, great attention to detail, decent story, everything worked. Great balance between realism and making things interesting and difficult too. Thanks for not cucking us on A2A refueling also. Probably not for beginners though, the missions are very long and challenging. Mission 2 gave me probably the most trouble. I also botched the JSOW launch on the airfield, as I don't trust the Viper preplanned mode due to GPS/INS bugs, but that's on the jet module. I liked this one better than the F-18 side. One thing that's a bit disappointing is weak Russian air, as the newer( comparable to AMRAAM) red missiles aren't in DCS, but the campaign works around it well.
