  2. This month's patch included some changes to the HARM that were not included in the changelog. Now, a HARM upon target loss will attempt to hit the last known INS position of the target while attempting to search for the signal. The HARM is not laser pinpoint accurate in INS, but can still get close enough to kill the targets as is in your case. I will note that if you were to make the radars stop emitting even earlier in flight, the miss area would increase further. In previous patches (like the June patch), the HARM after target loss basically didn't fallback to its INS and continued the last command it had before target loss. That behavior was not correct. There are also some other HARM changes like I said, but they're slightly unrelated to this specific case.
  3. If you don't have one, you can just create it. Preferably, use a proper editor like Notepad++ rather than regular notepad. If your %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\DCS\Config, directory (or equivalent working directory you select via the command line) create a new file called autoexec.cfg. Make sure it is actually named that and that Windows or your editor isn't hiding the true extension (hence why regular notepad is not a good option — it loves to make it .txt no matter how much you protest). From my testing so far, the file Special K offers in this post is sufficient and can even be pared down further. Basically, if you have no other settings and it's newly created, it should contain if not net then net = {} end net.allow_unsafe_api = { "userhooks" } net.allow_dostring_in = { "server" } This has worked for my setup and use case, but we don't use the full set of slmod functions — it's entirely possible that some other functionality is lost with just this. Similarly, you might be using other server mods that require other context to be allowed, but you're going to have to ask around to figure out which ones are needed for which mods.
  4. Thank God it's July 2025, and I'm wondering if anything has happened on this topic? I wanted to buy this map, but I won't. One of the most important British airfields of World War II was completely omitted, and we have an airfield that essentially didn't exist. Thank you, I'm not buying it.
  5. Awesome, thanks for the feedback!

    Brake Problems

I usually roll 1/2 to 3/4 of the runway length with the tail wheel down and elevator stick fully back in my lap before touching the wheel brakes. Your maintenance crew will thank you as well Towards the end of the roll, I hold maybe 25% brakes and that seems to work well. Let the ground friction do as much work as possible before going to the brakes. Taildraggers don’t do well with hard braking. Everyone has their own technique. Find what works best for you
  7. I actually think that would very likely happen. If Ron expects to get ANYTHING from their F-15E, they're going to have to give something up, even if it means sacrificing 3 modules to do so. Im willing to bet that the F-15E will likely see development afterwards, just not under Razbam. Id put money on that too. He can stick with the MSFS crowd.
  8. Realistically I would be shocked if it actually came in 3.0. I'm sure they're working on it, but my guess is it's at least 3-5 years out. Given the poor reaction to the textures on Afghanistan and Iraq, that may push it back if they decide to go a different way. Who knows.
  9. That's the bottom line. A few people forget there is a lot of players that don't touch on PvP where crafted missions, dynamic campaigns, mission generators and co-op vs AI far exceeds enjoyment on hoping onto a server that once again is at noon, few clouds and is constantly unbalanced by player numbers let alone machinery specs. Kudos to ED to make an F-35 if it is their wish to do so. Many will flock towards it in many scenarios solo and with their friends in co-op.
  10. the problem that i am facing now is that if i load gbu12 in weapon stations 1,2,9,10,6 or 4 i am unable to configure the laser codes for those and in the config panel can you help with it? previously when laser codes were set using the kneeboard it wasnt an issue (i came back after many months)
  11. The blame on this lies on the server/mission creator, not ED.
  12. Yes, to be specific, this!
  13. The crash in the log has been fixed in the latest update 2.9.18.12722 - it is related to using HARMs in the F-16 You have parked cores, there are various methods to unpark them. The free software ParkControl worked well for me.
  14. Great to hear! Thank you!
  15. Thanks for the ping, but I wrote that guide almost 8 years ago and so its pics will be different from those of the last OvGME version, here is the link if anyone wants to look at it but probably on YouTube you can find newer Guides:
  16. 150gr/sec vs 80gr/sec.... Can you spot the difference?????

  18. You do realize the entire Technical Description Nr234 is the Technical Description of the FW190A8. It is right there at the top...Jadgflugzeug FW-190 A-8. It is not talking about anything that pertains to anything else except the FW-190A8. The subject of the entire document is the Technical Description of the FW-190A8. It very clearly states that if an FW-190A8 receives a BMW 801D2 engine or a BMW801Q/TU engine the aircraft remains an FW-190A8. If you put a BMW801S engine on your FW-190A8 then it becomes an FW-190A9.
  19. You also need to consider pilot skill. Just because you can fly it doesn't mean you can do it well or even know and can manage all the systems on board. I get shot down in the F-16 ALL the time, by cold war era jets no less.

Hrrrmmm! @Raven (Elysian Angel) @MiG21bisFishbedL I'm sure you both meant, "make sure the slider checkbox is checked for the axis"! A slider or a rotary are both axis.
  21. 10/JG11 was disbanded in June 1944. https://www.ww2.dk/oob/bestand/jagd/b10jg11.html It is impossible for them to have received FW-190A8/R4's as the unit did not exist. Rodieke does not list his source for this information but he definitely notes the discrepancy and even produced the same documents I have shown you that approved GM-1 in July 44. It could be a typo as Focke Wulf and RLM were testing GM-1 in the FW-190A in late 1943 beginning of 1944. The edition of the installation manual I have is March 1944. The Endurance Testing of GM-1 in the BMW801D2 is from November of 1943. It passed with flying colors at 150gr/sec. That installation at 150gr/sec was probably tested in December 1944 by 10/JG11 and it would have been in an FW-190A5/6/7. BMW changed the injection rate to 80gr/sec which would have enacted another series of testing and that injection rate was specifically noted as approved in July 1944. The FW-190A8 was conceived with the installation of GM-1 or a 115 liter Auxiliary tank. It was designed that way. Why you think BMW clarifying as the ENGINE builder that they will only handle the ENGINE building part of providing GM-1 and leave the AIRFRAME building portion up the AIRFRAME builder is puzzling. What is a definite fact is 10/JG11 did not exist at the turn of the year 44/45 for them to receive a variant whose designation was defunked a year before and clarified in Technical Order Nr234.

  24. We do have a Mirage 2000C manual this Agard paper has some good info on the cockpit https://apps.dtic.mil/sti/tr/pdf/ADA310523.pdf
  25. Thanks SERP International for recording our event and to everyone else that participated in the first mission of our first campaign! Hope to see everyone at the next public event! https://www.youtube.com/live/DhEGcfPtbo4 Please note that this group is led by a group of flight enthusiasts, and none of us claim to be experts!

  27. Screenshots speaks volumes! Are you putting them under \Saved Games\DCS\mods\"relevant folder" or \Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\mods\"relevant folder\? The first path is the correct one. If you are new to mod managers in DCS. Adding ONE mod manually to see if it works, as the first step could potentially show you where it fails. (I love OvGME, but it's not developed anymore, and I've switched to it's successor Open Mod Manager. People will tell you they don't like the new one, while both's creator is actively engaging with the users in OMM's forum thread). Do you get any error messages? Like not activated, or are you just not seeing them in the Mission Editor. The activation errors means they're in the wrong path. If you just don't see them. Try clicking the clock icon on the bottom of the ME screen. No, no such thing in DCS. Pinging @Rudel_chw, who has written an excellent tutorial here somewhere on the use of OvGME. Probably in the mod apps section. Cheers!
