You're all using an awful lot of words for finally agreeing with me: The MiG-29 has no range - even at high altitude, it falls short. I didn't bother testing the Viper at high alt, as I couldn't care for spending another hour on something I already know. I'm not trashing the 29 like you're assuming, I'm just stating a fact and I've proven it wih two datapoints. You're right that you can stretch the jet's range and endurance at high altitude, but it still doesn't hold up to contemporary aircraft. The need to go high to get any meaningful distance out of it is a limitation in using it tactically. You don't need to throw in systems-simplicity and engine-reliability. Those are not up for discussion here, as we're taling about range. Also, the F1 wasn't designed to be a "cruiser" - it's actually been designed for quite a similar role to the 29 but with different doctrinal backgrounds. And as it's predecessor (the Mirage IIIC) was always short on gas, they fixed that issue with the F1. Now, for something productive: What does the range indicator on the fuel gauge actually indicate? Neither my 29G manual, nor the manual coming with the module do actually explain it. Is it something like "800kg of fuel at 10km from the airfield, using X flight profile"* or some other definition? The way I read it so far, it's the max range to flameout but not acconting for wind ("air miles"). Is there any deeper meaning to it? _____ *random numbers -

Ну да , конечно , так Кстати, ИЛС хотелось бы чуток по ярче , хотя в жизни разные были , и через чур яркие и размытые и тусклые , от самолета к самолету .

Программируется, инженерно-техническим персоналом по специальным карточкам программирования на земле. Эти карточки , как правило составляет старший штурман, переводя данные полета в специальные коды . Вводятся две программы, основная и запасная. Но даже запасную из кабины не вытащить, а только из щитка программирования в левом наплыве . Так что в полете у тебя только и есть 3 аэродрома, 3 маяка и АРК , который так же заранее пред настроен . А дальше курс , время, расстояние и карта, если землю видно .

Для Миг-29 обещают текстурки кабины полегче. Вот бы и для Чинука такое сделали. Но есть ощущение, что доработку Чинука пока отложили. Наверное, слишком много всего на конвейерах стоит у ED. Правда тут не ясно, может быть это его многочисленные дисплеи так просаживают FPS. (Хотя видно, что и геометрия в кабине достаточно детализированная, и текстуры красивые, но тяжелые.) Я для FullHD себе подобрал настройки и летал вполне себе комфортно, на моем не очень мощном компе. Но будь у меня 2К, наверное, уже бы не смог бы подобрать приемлемые настройки.

Does it work if you start hot not cold? What if you start in the air? Cpuld you potentially provide a video where you show everything you do from start to the point you are trimming? Cheers

Thank you all for your responses and explanations. Unfortunatly, if I continue to trim nose down (> 30 secs), and this even after the stick has moved fully forward as you described, the pitch trim gauge still doesn't move I guess my stick trim mapping is fine, else my stick would not move even forward when I use it, no ? FYI, I have just started the engines, and set LGEN AND RGEN to ON Do I have to enable some other things to make this work, eg. the STAB AUG switches ? Do I have to respect a sequence ? I have trying with and without and it doesn't seem to change anything. Thanks

@Fighter29 вопрос. А как в реальности программируется навигация на 29м? 3 ППМа и пара аэродромов (основной-запасной)? Или есть какие-то нюансы?

currently facing a strange behavior, i have a caucasus sandobx mission where i have the NS430 in my cockpit, and it works a friend have his own caucausus sandbox and the ns430 show, no GPS connections we check the date of the mission they are both in 2025 (on germany i found that if you are in 1987 before gps it wont get any connection but if you put a recente date it works) any idea where in mission editor to allow GPS positioning ? thanks by advance

Comms E.D. ? Once again a month passes with no communication regarding how (- or if) work is progressing on the N Afg. module that some of paid for on the back of an E.D. provided ETA of late 2024. No screenshots, not even a single line saying 'we haven't taken all resources away from this map to concentrate efforts on more popular & better selling maps' - or for that matter to say 'we have but will come back to it.' I realise that E.D. probably had to spend more on the map than they expected (the re-work was very well done & it's the map I use the most), perhaps sales weren't as robust as they expected, and E.D> have to maintain a positive cashflow - so maybe downsizing the team &/or delays are understandable - but Northern Afghanistan hasn't been delivered 15 months after we paid for it and nearly a year the ETA we were given when we bought for it. It's not a case of a module having being delivered in a useable state but still in EA because it's still missing a few features, North Afghanistan simply hasn't been delivered. What was the last feature added internally ?

Wenn beide Hände sichtbar sind, dann macht das bei mir überhaupt keine Probleme. Ich kann abwechselnd mit dem rechten/linken Zeigefinger auf dem ICP der F 16 herumtippen. So bin ganz fix bei der Eingabe von Werten. Ist der Unterschied eventuell, dass ich Leap über das VR-Menü aktiviere..?

SO I took the curve you added, pretty good, for My WinWing Orion 2 throttle base the curves still needed a little adjustment for me personally. but I can now throttle all the way to full without going into Burner unless I push it into burner. will say that it would still be very good for ED to add some adjustment sliders in the Special Tab for all the russian jets, since idle is basically at 65-70% throttle after engine startup, it would be nice to still be able to use the entire range on throw on my throttle without needing curves, or atleast without this much curve. But since you helped me find a good curve I figure I'd atleast show the latest and greatest that works for me so people have more options. From 0 - 100 0 - 33 - 39 - 45 - 52 - 67 - 75 - 83 - 92 - 100. I have dual throttle. so Same for both Axis.

Those real life examples are older variants with different propellers. That could easily be the difference so better compare the same variants.
