  4. I'm trying to figure out what the default carrier can and can't do at the moment. I need to know it to make a mission for the default carrier. When I disable the Supercarrier module, it doesn't get any carrier comms, LSO calls or grades, or ACLS. It acts like an airfield, i.e. reports runway in use instead of BRC, etc. However, people tell me they have some basic carrier comms without the Supercarrier module. So how is the default carrier supposed to work without the Supercarrier module? It seems it’s something wrong with my DCS installation. I tried removing the Supercarrier module entirely and repairing the game and even tried a fresh installation but I got the same airfield behaviour.

  8. So, the answer is YES (ME has become worse), AND ED screwed up Fulcrum Navigation setup from ME. Disappointingly it's the first thing that I posit ANYONE would have tested after reading the specs. After all, these questions came up immediately when I watched Wag's tutorial. In short: you can no longer mix AI and player FF Fulcrums in the same group if you set up navigation correctly (as recommended by Wag's video). Here's an easy test case (took me 3 minutes to set up): Setup AI first: AI FF Flanker, placed in Air over Senaki. Set Divert airfields (WP 1-3) to Kutaisi, Kobuleti, Batumi, and set a 4th Waypoint (mission destination) to Sukumi. That way, you can easily determine AI behaviour: if the plane goes south, you know it is heading for the Alts, if it goes North, it heads to the mission target. Start the mission. The AI FF Flanker heads to Kutaisi (i.e. the first divert). This is NOT the mission target. So setting the Fulcrum navigationally correct, up as recommended by Wags, does not produce the correct result. If you want an AI FF Flanker to go somewhere, you must not set up divert locations. That's bad enough, but let's proceed. Setup Player FF Fulcrum: Now add a player unit to the group (still route setup as Kutaisi, Kobuleti, Batumi, Sukumi). Jump into cockpit. Checking the AP and WP settings in-game is exactly as described by Wags: Kutaisi, Kobuleti and Batumi are divert airfields; and Sukumi is mission target. Turn to your mission target (Sukumi). Problem: your wingman is going to Kobuleti. F*ç%!!!!! So yeah, FF Fulcrum's nav in the game is screwed up; you no longer can use its nav system as designed with AI wingmen, and player aircraft route setup in ME now is nonstandard. These are two hard knocks against the FF Fulcrum, and one knock against ME. Demo mission enclosed. I would have hoped that this was obvious during testing and was removed prior to release.   10. Its a known bug. There is a thread somewhere with more details on it. It will be fixed eventually, cheers.
  11. Good hint is to use passthrough (just double tab the headset to switch to passthrough) and watch if any light sources are flickering. If so, shut them off, cover them or try to reduce lighting until you don´t see a flickering. My room was way too bright at the beginning and I had to reduce the light sources.

  13. Tried this after the today's update. As I mentioned before something about the Tiny Tim's are influencing the failure to attack targets. This vid demonstrating working or attacks the targets, then adding the Tim's to the loadout and if won't attack the targets. A few cycles of removing and re-adding.   14. hi, in my country it is mandatory to serve in the army for every male, during our service we are all required to throw a live grenade for training. our instructors strictly emphasized that we duck behind cover after throwing a grenade even though it is 20m away and i can confirm that there is risk of getting hit by frags even at 200m away because that is what they told us.
  15. Makes perfect sense to me. I'm not a programmer by any sense of the imagination but I had to debug a database made by someone else in an old job of mine, and that already gave me plenty of headaches... So starting a new job and having to work with someone else's code?... Have fun and good luck with that!
  16. Hi MadMonty, thanks for the reply. Actually I read your post even before getting my Super and was praying to have a smoother experience than yours but life happens. :) I also tried the suggestions in the thread but did not have a positive outcome until now. What's strange is that I did not have a tracking problem with PCL.(I have it for 3 months now and the only problem I have is occasional stutters when looking left or right in the cockpit in dense urban areas. ) I also have a Quest 3 currently and used a Reverb G2 before and did not have any problems whatsoever with either of them when dialed in the settings. Will see how it develops, I continue to try different options. Best regards.
  17. The Updater crashed twice for me, but now it's back up to my normal speeds. ED did well improving their patcher these past few years. No such thing!

  20. Indeed. I use steam for two reasons. 1. The stable fast download speed 2. I like to see just how much of my live I've devoted to DCS(around 1800 hours so far)

  22. First week patch updates: The animations for the cannon trigger and the missile trigger to be swapped. Lock indication is not resetting after lock break. But logic is working correctly and radar stops locking. Air intake louvers animation corrections. Provide lower resolution textures cockpit option CHAFF/FLARE sequence corrections. When repairing after a wheels up landing, the repair completes, but the landing gear is not lowered, so after repair you are dropped back on your belly, negating the repair. IFF issues for clients connected to the mission hosted on a dedicated server. Single Player or Self-hosted servers do not have this issue.   23. I'll give you usefull tip - apply for refund. You don't seem to be the one compatible with this plane and you already become spiteful, snappy and obviously frustrated before you've even given yourself a chance to get to know the machine properly. There will be no chemistry between you two. Good luck!
  24. Yes that overexposure is a bug that's apparently hard to fix. It's been around for a while now... When it happens I switch to F2 external view and then back to cockpit, and that seems to limit the time of the overexposure...
  25. Latest Version Pimax play and up to date on all firmware 142.1. 117 here Regards @Calvin.Pimax The Goggles went black , took them off to see the screen frozen and blurred on the monitor then DCS CTD'd Regards
