Oh, how true . . . . Before release everyone nags on and on about how it's taking so long, and they wish the devs would just hurry up and release it, and they'll deal with the bugs, and take a patch later . . . . And at the moment the gold CD is burned, there's a magical U-turn as everyone says they could have waited a little longer as long as there were no bugs :P . . . . I generalise, but no doubt you can sympathise with the general principle ;) I'm just being cynical, of course. ED will take their time over this, and those of us doing the testing hope as much as the rest of the community that they'll draw a satisfactory line between time and quality :) If they release a truly great chopper sim, my own opinion is that the pre-release bitching will be forgotten. Guess time will tell one way or the other!1 point

ВОТ!!!! Я помню очень-очень давно когда я летал на фланкере в Питере проводились соревнование в клубе кажись Айсберг или чего-то там. На Васькином острове. Так там за картой сидело 2 настоящих военных летчика и они рулили всем этим действом. Кто выиграл не помню. Я там был как зритель. Так, что Скарта я поддерживаю... так, пасмотрим, что у меня есть, ага, двумя руками, двумя ногами, двумя головами!!!(Я не змей-Горыныч, у меня одна голова сверху, другая снизу)1 point

ИМХО, самый неприятный момент это отсутсвие единого командования, из-за этого толкового взаимодействия, ну и нужна некоторая слетанность. А в остальном - впечатления положительные.1 point

Вы будете смеяться.... Я всю вашу игру занимался тем, что кикал толпу пилотов ломящихся на сервак. :) Паролить надо однозначно, пароль выкладывать на форум. Заходит тот, кто ознакомлен с правилами. Штурмам можно сделать маршрут до филда (или включить карту с своим крафтом), им будет немного полегче. Желательно, что бы тот кого сбили переходил в зрители, так легче ореентироваться кто остался.1 point

Спасибо всем, кто создал сервер, спасибо тем, кто участвовал. Миша, ты просто вытянул на себя атаку Бандеры - поэтому я стрелял практически без помех. Плохо над простой и плоской водой летать. :) Со всеми ораторами я согласный. А насчет тактики - вот именно создание такой темы 5 минут назад предложил Nic в ТС. И хорошо бы где-то найти удачные карты, все что попадается - не то. Хотя скорее всего - тут придется что-то брать за основу и дорабатывать. Вот, дополню еще - ТС должен быть ОБЯЗАТЕЛЕН для участников.1 point

Ох, побъют... но и мое ИМХО добавлю. Летаю для удовольствия... нравится мне это. Даже на вулч уже не обижаюсь, ну нравится челу... пусть повулчит, а я его еще и поподзуживаю по поводу того, что в воздухе ему слабо ))) И стату люблю, поскольку приятно посмотреть на результаты полетов. результаты эти не так впечатляющи как у "настоящих пацанов" ))) Но и в арьегарде не тянусь, значит кое что могу... Но сам процесс ничем не заменить ) И пуском без "ПР" иногда грешу, каюсь. И улепетываю, бывает на форсаже от противника, а куда мне на него с пушкой против ракет переться? ) Многое из написанного верно, но пресловутые "особенности реализации" вносят свои поправки ) Да и новичков последнее время немало пришло, которым принятые правила чести пока что неизвестны )) Прошу сильно не пинать )))1 point

There is no such thing as missile manual that's going to give you the performance "facts" about the stick... sorry. Like Groove said that stuff is not for public consumption. Most of the theories seen on game forums are classic! Most public company data is disinformation, or more correctly generalizations of quantized data. It's so funny to hear “desktop fighter pilots” talk about stuff related to combat aviation and weapon systems. They know so much… even more then the fighter pilots that have a bunch of hours and training. I have been on the static line at air shows and listen to guys spew out numbers and ranges wanting to know if XWZ is that really true… Do you really think you are going to get an answer???… Classic!! A large number of real pilots have never fired a missile in combat... missile simulation in real combat simulators is just as classified as the real deal. In Lock on the missiles slider should be as far to the right as the player can stand... When a missile is fired it is meant to hit something...The goal is not to get fired at. T A lot of gamers don’t understand that concept. Learn and understand that.. That will be all you really need to know about missiles! LOL! This post may sound so arrogant but it is not meant to be….1 point

In current modeling no, LOMAC almost denies multi targeting due to the extreme short burn through range implemented and poor AMRAAM perfomance, its more likely to miss all missiles on 1 target than hit 2.1 point

The above map illustrates the FEBA and the FARPS for both Blue and RedFor. BlueFor has pressed forward into Russian territory. BlueFor now controls the Kerch straits and have moved forces as far forward as the town of Temrujk. Red Forces are enroute to the FEBA. The forward air refueling point for BlueFor is Kerch Airbase. The forward air refueling point for RedFor is Novorrosik. Further specific briefings for both Red and BlueFor will be given later. Fighters for BlueFor will be taking off from Razdolnoe and Strike A/C will be taking off from Oktjabrskoe. Fighters for RedFor will be taking off from Sochi-Adler and Strike A/C will be taking off from Majkop. Fighter aircraft will not be able to re-arm or refuel at any other place except for home plate. Loadouts for fighter aircraft cannot be changed. Strike Aircraft can rearm and refuel at the FARP and at home plate. Loadouts can only be changed at home plate, and the aircraft performing the loadout change must request for permission from a moderator before they can leave the mission. Aircraft cannot land at any other airbase except for those listed. For example Fighter aircraft cannot land at the FARP or strike aircraft home plate. If you do so you will be asked to leave. It will not be counted as a loss if you land within friendly lines, but you will not be allowed to continue with the mission. For any aircraft that is rotating pilots. You must do so at home plate only and ask for permission from a moderator first. You must let me know before game day which aircraft the pilots are sharing, the tail number and the callsigns of the pilots. If that airframe is downed during the mission, FOR WHATEVER REASON, both pilots will be considered out. R-77’s on the outside pylons of the Mig-29S’s will be allowed. A-10’s are allowed to use Shepski’s realistic loadout mod, to include the use of 4 Aim-9’s. These are the only aircraft that are allowed to use loadout mods, no exceptions…. REDFOR WILL BE USING VENTRILO FOR THIS MISSION. This is not up for discussion, so just download it and get used to it. We will be using 3sqn’s Ventrilo server. BlueFor will be using JaBoG32’s Teamspeak Server. Their Teampeak server will be used for the outbriefing for all pilots.1 point

I think simulations don't tend to have drama in them. I mean characters full of emotions etc etc. They will have a bit of those when they will have good AI and good simulated (not scripted) radio chatter. Drama takes away the details... the simulations are in the details isn't it? Emotions blur things hence the awesome looking of that game until you analize the... details. :D1 point

opinion To voice an opinion here and elsewhere has really been an excuse to some people to invalidate, cause strife, and spoil all the excitement we all had for the anticipation of Red Flag 1. Fudd took it on his own to plan, organize, and get the ball rolling. In my book, an opinion are collected thoughts about a certain subject with thorough research to have a reasonable presentation. All problems will only be brought up with a reasonable solution along or following. To make statements at the level of personal attacks against a person, squad, and leadership is unacceptable. Fudd is doing a great job, ask yourself this, " How have I helped to ease the burden of Fudd?", or How can I help period?" And then ask Fudd," I might or might not beable to participate, but can I somehow help you anyway?" Maybe some of the veteran pilots of the different Squads could help with the ck rides of some other time consuming task. This is only my opinion. Now, see, I didn't attack anyone, saw a problem yet suggested some solutions.1 point
