This is my most recent film, I finished it yesterday. It's short, only about 3 minutes long, but I hope it has a powerful message. What I wanted to get across was that we have a beautiful sim. I always liked the sunsets in lockon, so I tried to capture this in my movie. When many of us play online, we tend to forget what lockon really is. People complain about ECM strobing, and chaff dumping and missile spamming, and how this can be more realistic and that can be more realistic and yada yada. However, maybe we should take a step back and realize that, frankly, lockon is beautiful. What we have is not an arcade game, but an honest to god sim. Granted, it's not as realistic as F4, but it's all there, and if it's not the exact procedure used in real life, it's at least represented. Does realism equal fun? Do you look at a game and say "it's not realistic, so it can't be fun."? I don't. Maybe we all should think about this when we fire the sim up. I truly hope this community stays strong until a fighter is released for DCS, and maybe even after this. There is no other fast mover sim that comes close to lockon in terms of graphical detail, realism and community support. Lockon is beautiful. This appeared to be a theme a few months ago, and it's still true. Lets keep lockon going for many more years to come. It will be a sad day indeed when we log on to HL and no one is there. Any way, here's the movie. I had difficulty uploading to Stage6. I'll add the hi-res version once I get it straightened out.

Yeah, FPS drops are expected with my settings, thats the penalty for great graphics :thumbup: great to see you've got what you needed though :D

Yes...with this Land Night settings all works perfect but in my opinion the FPS impact is a little bit higher. Making test i preffer 20000/40000, the effect is very similar in mountain terrain and the FPS loss is smaller. Thanks a lot for your kind support mates ¡¡

I don't think is a big deal, I sure their pilots need the training to. It just means , I hope anyway , that they just now got the funds to train more and like any country, their just letting people know: "Hey look we can defend our borders and interest". Most countries do that, in some way or another AFAIK. Hopefully it is just the media making a big deal out of nothing. If not, "cold war" is better that and actual war. In a cold war it is just counties treating each other not actually killing or fighting. I'm no political annalist nor a military expert, I guess we will see.

Я видел и управлял на МАКСе 2005 СУ-30МК и МИ-8 МТ(естественно тренажеры) и в фонаре 30го были установленны МФД ,и на левом из них работала электронная карта ,если Вам это интересно(скажите Нет ЭЛ КАРТ!!! и GPS не существует,и разведка на рынке торгует!!! ), и если нет 30МК в ЛО и ГС ,это не означает что 29 и 33 нельзя модернизировать. I couldn't bring myself to buy a card thats over a year old (8800gtx)... I know thats bad rationale, I keep up on benchies more than anyone here probably but, its just the way I feel. lol Heck... depending what you're coming from and what you play, I would even consider the 9600gt's out right now. Any chance you can hold out? For the 9800GX2 .... skip the 9800GTX... its a ridiculous card.

... With all due respect but this is the Military and aviation section of the ED forums, not the DCS section. It would be nice if You show a little respect by keeping such comments to yourself.

Those screens don't look that special, but I really don't care. I mean, there has been such a long time when the last decent helo sim came out, and now we're gonna get BS, this EE2 and the whirlwind of vietnam.. Almost too good to be true. I remember reading an article somewhere about a year ago that helo sims are probably gonna die away and the future of combat helicopter gaming would be in multiplayer games like battlefield 2. I'm so glad that guy was wrong. Now only thing I'm gonna miss is the Hind 2, or playable Mi-24 in some other game.

Дорогой друг у НАС, Вирпилок, уже есть место встреч. Зайди на сайт boom-zoom.ru там есть вся инфа...... У нас на клаве один поц сделал просто всех имя ему Орел Соколов. Выиграл первые международные соревнования Вирпилов(правдо в угаре:icon_jook) А так мы в Питере проводим догфайты у нас в кафе Бум-Зум В реале пока не летаем , к сожалению!!!!!! В опциях ввода выбираешь устройство "Trustmaster...", затем счёлкаешь рядом установленный тумблер в положение "оси", выбираешь расканье (педали), жмёшь кнопку "изменить" и вертишь джой.

Thrustmaster Раз уж тут заговорили про Thrustmaster, то у меня тоже с ним глюки. У меня TOP GUN FOX 2 PRO SHOCK. У него есть ось рысканья. НО в ЛОК ОНе её нет. Вообще нет, как будто и не должно быть :shock: . А без рысканья летать не прикольно. X и Z тоже не выход. ПЛЗ, может кто знает как решить проблему
