  1. I probably spotted a typo in the producers notes, you can see it in the attachment, please ignore when it is known, or I am wrong.

  3. Hi, This should be interesting. When I first started playing LOMAC I never used Tac-View. After a while I was interested in seeing what I was doing wrong/right in-game so I downloaded Tac-View. After some 6 months of using Tac-View and some nice intercept replays I noticed that one could use ACMI/Tac-View as an "Alternative" to radar or AWAX. Its funny but you just get the "Gut" feeling when your flying at 47,000-Mach 2.0 and some Bandit takes off from an Airfield less than 20nm away and shoots you down, with no A-50 in the Air.....Huuummmmmmm..... I feel that with all of the information here and there about Tac-View, there should prhaps be some re-thinking about the use on some of the on-line servers. Since my new install of LOMAC-FC, I have no mods, no skins, no mod-man, no TAC-VIEW. I feel that it would be a more "Fair" and "No wondering" if some people use Tac-View as an alternative to the modeling of the jet with or with out AWAX. :music_whistling:

  6. The T flies great .. completely different to all the other flyables but she's one ugly biaatch so what do you expect ;) . The only auto pilot I use when flying the T frog is "H" and that's it.. seems to work perfect for me and I have a M$FFB2 joystick, ..oh sometimes I will use the camera lock then "A" function so it automatically flies the perfect course to the target. Just don't forget to take your time lining up you runs and that way you wont have any evasion issues but if you fly it like an A10 then you better map "ctrl+E+E+E" to your joystick trigger :D. Anyway you're probably having some joystick issues .. ditch the cougar and get yourself a nice M$FFB stick.. :smartass:. Edit: Ooopps didn't see page two.. all is good now :) .

  7. 1. The problem is confirmed. It WAS the HOTAS. 2. Did not mean to disrespect the T-toad out of term. Now that I KNOW it's not the physics of the model I take back what I said. I thought that all of these control issues were due to the flight model. They obviously were not. I say WERE because they appear to be fixed... for the moment. I was speaking to a few experts at the Cougar forum and they suspect that I have a short inside. An engineer from Georgia Teach was about to talk me through isolating the problem. I tape my stick to my flight chair as a center stick. I cut the tape off and turned the unit over. Before I opened it up I decided to test it through the keytester one more time. ALL THE GARBAGE KEYS BEING SENT TO THE PC WERE SILENT!!!! It's like some kind of miracle! I loaded up Su-25T mission #1 (not in the campaign, the singles) against the bridges and she was ROCK STEADY!!!! Fully weighted she flew like a champ!!! Once again, did not mean to "dis" the jet. Actually thought it was THAT difficult to fly. Get this... apparently one of the random commands being sent to the PC was the time accelerating command!!! So I was even trying to fly in a DIFFERENT SPACE TIME CONTINUUM!!!!!! :joystick::joystick::joystick::joystick::joystick::joystick::joystick::joystick::joystick::joystick::joystick::joystick::joystick::joystick::joystick:

  8. Like someone else pointed out a few dozen threads back, you dont use the controls to control the aircraft, you use the trim tabs to control the aircraft. The T handles much like a bolemic airliner. Making the T fly like a fighter jet is like having sex with OJ Simpson: you can kick and scream, but youll just roll over and die in the middle of it.

  9. I'd just like to reiterate what people have already said; this plane is not easy to fly. Its not just you, its the plane. The plane itself is heavy. Even clean with a nominal fuel load, its a handful compared to the SFM planes. As you have experienced, you often are fighting the plane as much as you're fighting anything else. To this day I wonder how the real pilots are expected to put up with it! The key for me in attaining some level of comfort with it was to think of it in terms of flying a WWII-era plane or at least a modern jet, like the F-14A, that has a poor thrust to weight ratio. You have to get a good feel about how much energy you have at any given moment and what you can do with it. To keep it in simple terms, just keep your speed up. Try various loads and experiment with how fast you have to be to do an immelman, or at least an oblique vertical move that resembles an immelman. Also realize that it rolls like a crippled whale. You lack agility and have to make up for it other places. I never even bother with the auto pilot modes other than the altitude hold. I just use the hat on my stick for constant trim along witht he altitude hold. One last thing, if you have the time, try to be patient. You can't always make a pass, flop back around and make another one. Make sure you extend away from the target area enough to give youself time to lock up another target or line up properly for dumb weapons.

  11. Yeah I was good back in the days...still one of the best A-10 pilots there (besides Noti and Highway), but a2g is a different kind of beast than a2a...a2g you think 2 dimentionally, a2a 3 dimentional + you have to be able to decipher your opponents next move...but what if that next move is an exploit? Its not that I dont have the will to learn it, its just that I dont have the time to fit in all these training hours between studies. A2G I have over 5000 hours flight time with over 20k in targets destroyed (within the last 5 years). A2A probably 20 hours with only 15 or so online kills to my name. At my current rate, it would take me another 6 years to learn how to pwn all. If I get my wishes in the next 5 months, Ill be working with the USMC upgrading F/A-18c's next year at Pax River MY. and Ill sure as hell not have any more time to learn how to do all this.

  12. You can actually do it 'the right way' and still come out on top. It's much harder though, as you're saying. In the end, if you're successful doing it 'the right way' in the face of this adversity, you, sir, are the better pilot :D Don't be too down on it all, after all you helped completely pwn the red airbase in CAW mission 1. :)

  13. Sounds like you're EXTREMLY unlucky.:( Ive flown alot of HL in my "Lockon Career" and I rarely encounter any cheat. From time to time one sees some guy warping, but hey, thats no proof of anything, is it. ECM macros are rare and Ive never encountered a bandit which seems to have perfect SA and dodge all my missiles. Usually when I die, I know what I did wrong and change to the next time. People are very qiuck in yelling CHEATER!, coz they thought they were invincible. I even got accused of ECM-blinking when I was using normal ECM (coz of the blinking nature of a ECM strobe on the Russian HUD... But then again, im not saying that these cheaters do not exist. Sure, someone surley faced one on HL or whatever, but I think they make up <1% of the people flying LO.

  14. well here's a thing... in some 3-4 years that I flew IL-2 series I never hurd of people suspecting someone cheating... that sim is definitely cheat free...

  15. Ok, so basically what you are saying is to go ahead and let the cheaters win, right? You can ban someones IP address all you want, all he/she has to do is reset the modem, and you ban the spectrum and everyone with that row of IP addresses who play LOMAC online cant in your server. I suspect cheats all the time and I have good reason to...its because Ive been playing this game for 5 years now and Ive seen it all. How many times have I been spammed by ET's in the face? Exploited? You yourself allow ECM macros in your server, when your squad motto is "Fight Hard Play Fair". Point is, if you allow it, it becomes a problem elsewhere, and if you allow THAT, what else will you allow? A macro of the print screen key? Im a person who doesnt really believe in zero tolerance, but there has to be zero tolerance of cheats until issues are fixed.

  18. What a lot of BULLSHITS i see here. Tacview DO NOT work in live. it's a tracks only. there is NO WAY to cheat with it. For the guys who believe that, go to Vyrtuoz website, and ask to guy who CREATE tacview. and you know that cheat with it is impossible. And for the people who know my "secret" techniques, it's GREAT, before i do only ET maddog and now people know how evade it easily. That's forced me to be a better pilot that i was. and now i have others tricks, Tacview is a Gift for the Lock on community. So stop Bullshit, if You are weak someday, don't find stupid answer ( that's count for me too) And For your information Cool_t when you got shot down very high it's because someone see you high and give information by TS. That's people call a team ;) Have a nice fly.

  19. Quality stuff from the AdA team, nicely illustrated by the movie. Up to MajorBug's usual high standard.
